It only happens in the middle of summer here for me. Highs in the upper 80s or low 90s. I rarely hear anything in the winter and even pretty rarely in the summer.

So does anybody know definitively if any of the accessory hand helds will work on 18s? I’m still waiting on delivery.

I would say no.. I have a 2018, bought the accessory handheld last year and it never worked. Finally gave up after after I found out that ovtune was offering refunds for them. Returned the handheld last month and now waiting to hear back on when that refund will be processed. Last official word that I saw was that the manufacturer was close to getting it to work but then the whole Covid19 thing hit and they are based in Italy.. And I'm sure you know how that's going over there. :(

That seems to match what I recall. So I’ll wait a bit. I’d really like to get a working handheld, but can stick with the flash kit if necessary.

The cable can still be utilized by someone.

    Welp, here I am.

I purchased my tune back in December 2017, the purple dongle. I installed 1.03 in February 2018. Now I'm trying to to update to 1.05, I downloaded the new flash manager and I've run into the "guardant dongle not found" issue (after clicking pcmflash). I've disabled mcafee and defender, still no joy. Tried to run flash manager on administrator, but same issue. I have no usb hubs, running windows 10, still using same computer as last time. I've done a TW search for "guardant dongle not found" and re-checked my computer against the advice given. No joy. I have to be honest, this is frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. 2017 TDROR

Yup. I've had a very similar experience to this. Things took a slight turn for the worse when I filled up with 87 octane and flashed 87 2.0 beta. Had some slight pinging and rough idling. Reminded me of when my ECU was 04B03 before I got 04B04 done (That was a very pleasing experience on its own). Went to 91 2.0 beta base tune recently to try it out. Now it operates much better. My taco likes to be stuffed with 91 for sure.

honestly it may be easier for you to contact Mat at his help desk and swap for a dongle-less P5F license. No cost and Mat is, or has said, no more PCM - meaning you must switch to P5F - good news with that is you should also receive vF Tuner Software for free. Check Page 1 and contact Mat. GL.

I emailed Mat and I’m waiting to hear back but in the mean time...

I seem to have everything down but when I connect to my truck and go to the p5flash utility, the identify etc buttons are greyed out and I cannot seem to get around that. I have allowed the programs through and turned off anti-virus/firewall and windows security. I have installed the program but running it as admin, I have opened the program as run as admin but everything is still greyed out. Any suggestions?

You did press install cable drivers, right? On that window that pops up, it should show up at the top that its using the drivers (forgot name) and shouldnt be blank.

Sorry, just to be clear, I didn't mean update FM to the current version, but Help - Update FM each time to search for the latest tunes (Flash It! will always be greyed out until you Update to search for latest tunes, etc.)

I too have 1.3.3. I tried updating and that's what I got. How do you go from 1.3.3 to 1.3?

If you have 1.3.3 it means you have one of the old versions of flash manager. You need to uninstall it and grab the new download. Install and click update. Then you’ll be set.
