I don't blame him actually, and should have seen it coming but haven't been watching the thread too closely, just Mat's posts.

I'm still on 1.05/91 and happy. Why? Because I could be stock and not happy.

Mat is releasing one LAST 2.0 update. So why not just release them for dongle and dongle-less?

I wonder which takes more work? Switching few hundred dongle users to P5F, or converting one last batch of PCM files and don't have to deal with hundreds of software registration. If Mat haven't gotten to dongle conversion requests from early April, this is certainly a SLOW process I'm not looking forward to.

Like many other users, I have no issue keeping the ol dongle, it has served me well, it won't matter to Mat after this FINAL 2.0 release. Why let one bad apple create all this extra work?

I can't wait to hear the feedback from you guys on the new tune once available. I really do love the new 5.29 2019 2.0 beta tune for the most part after about 1,000 miles on it. however, i will most likely be flashing back to 4.88 91 oct beta tune soon until the sudden jolt of power around 5mph is smoothed out.

I would have rather kept my dongle as I was very comfortable with its use and not into all the bells and whistles.
However, it's out of our hands and really not a big deal when you think about it.

I contacted Mat via zendesk yesterday and he already sent me the address for dongle return.
    Sending it in today.
Yes, I am thinking it will be a little more wait time for the magic of 2.0, but honestly, I'm not worried about it.

Did he happen to mention via email how he'll be handling the "free vfTuner license for dongle users" who send in their dongles and swap licenses a month before the release of vfTuner? Will he just send that second license out after that release?

No, nothing to that effect. I've been on 2.0 beta 19800 for months and had no plans to change until final 2.0 release whether it be in two weeks or two months. So I don't need my dongle anymore if he's going to move us OG's to p5f.

I'm not worried about the switch not being honored by OVTune or anything like that. USPS mail is documented and my original payment to OVTune back in 2018 for the tune is documented. It is well-documented on this site for anyone to see that OVTune is giving a free vf license to original dongle customers. Just a waiting game. No big deal.
