I've had OVTune since September 2017. I had to email Mat exactly ONCE, right at the outset, to get the dongle registered/activated. It's going on 3 years since then and I've never had to bother Mat again. Yet people that have the dongle-less OVTune have to email Mat (sometimes multiple times) and wait for a response any time their computer crashes, they get a new computer, or sometimes simply with a Windows Update. This because they need a new activation code. I really don't expect it will get and easier/faster get "re-activated" in the future as priorities change.

 

You sent in 2 emails for the same thing. If I remember right, if you send a second email for the same thing, you go to the back of the line. I think that's what he was getting at.

 

He answered my email so I'm good.
And no I sent one about the new laptop. Then I sent one about trading in the dongle. I'm glad you all had a problem free experience and I'm sure Mat appreciates your concern.

This is actually a pretty rare occurrence for people to need new keys even, except the select few people who go out of their way to make it more difficult. 98% of p5f keys have never needed a new key.

 

My laptop (that I bought only for the tune) broke. I bought a new laptop for the tune. I don't know how else I could have done things.

 

I guess the thing where FM would spaz out because of the newer Microsoft update was fixed right? That was a few months ago

Edit: I’m not talking about needing a new registration because of the update

 

I am on the low pressure fuel pump recall list and have no high speed fuel delivery issues ; )
