So you are giving people the vF Tuner if you have a tune kit or is this just for customers who have the dongle?

 

Exchanging for the dongle. Others can buy it for $79 if you already have the tuning kit.

Well, I am giving 04A61 19800 another try. On Sunday on decided to replace 04A61 16012 with 19800 and give it another try.
It loaded OK and I started the truck. Then I realized that my plan was to reset LV and AT after the load. So, I shut off the truck, reset both values and restarted the truck.

The 'tip in' wasn't anything like I experienced when 19800 was first released. It was fairly tame. I only have about 100 miles on the tune so far.
Shift points definitely feel different than 16012, but more time may be needed.

Could the resetting of LV and AT have tamed the aggressive 'tip in' I experienced in the past and drove me to install 16012?

 

I’m 2018 too. I noticed you saying the tip in was way too much on 19800 before but never said anything...I wonder if you didn’t load 19770 before and not 19800, 19770 was a monster. Maybe you’re recalling it incorrectly? Either way, I’m on 19800 and enjoy it, I think you will too.

Purple dongle in the outgoing mail today.

The end of my purple dongle was a little floppy (after I dropped my flashing computer without having the dongle on an extension), and what good is a floppy dongle. In a lot of way, better that it gets replaced before I really need my dongle and the end falls off...

 

My little black dongle goin in the mail today. Sad to see him go! Haha

 

You are right....I went back through my post history and saw that I started with 19770, went to 19800 and then to 16012 for some reason.

 

In case people are wondering, our 4D table panel control in our software is done, so you can view 4D tables, so we are right on track with our timelines.

So the vF Tuning software that will come with example tunes, is that going to cost around $379 with the cable? Is that the plan?
