When you convert you could still download previous tunes from flash manager in p5, unless there are others you want to keep that aren't on there.

 

There’s others he has that’s aren’t in fm. Some test tunes or other older tunes.

 

There is no reason to be worried about flashing anything previous to 1.05, that tune was miles better than anything before it with actual options between performance and what not. Plus, you’ll have access on P5F files to all 1.05 and then you could still request your “favorite” pre 1.05 tunes for vF. So I got over giving away the dongle to get vF for free and 2.0 final.

 

I figured there were. It's prolly worth it to him to keep his dongle, since the MT 2.0 is already out, and just pay the $79 for VF.

 

just dropped my dongle off at USPS...got some funny looks holding onto my dongle as I walked thru the door.

On the VFtuner page, you choose dongle trade in.
On zendesk, send Matt your order number and system ID.
You will get a registry key, to switch over to P5F flashing and also get VFTuner for free...

 

I think......Matt said you can request the tunes you liked and he would send the to you, as a dongle owner.

 

Question, and please don’t flame me as I’m older. I’m trying to figure out if I have the dongle? I have a 2017 Tacoma and I believe I bought OVTune in 2018. It plugs into the OBDII port is orange, lights up and connects to the usb on my laptop.

easy peasy - if you are currently flashing pcm files you have a dongle. If you are currently flashing p5f files you do not have a dongle. A dongle is nothing more than a USB stick which you plug into your usb connection on your computer - not to be confused with the micro usb connector wire which connects to the OBD adapter and computer.

 

Question.. in Flash Manager for 04B31 AT, Tune Version 2.0, I cannot find definitions for the options. What is BasOL, SuperFOB, Beta?

 

BaseOL = Base tune, octane learning
SuperFOB = MT Performance turne
Beta = software team basically meaning it's not quite finished (used for testing).
