If people are that concerned, I will set the constants back to stock and only modify the split table itself.

Because I still want my direct injection usage changed in 2.0.
But I can change back the constants (cool temps, etc)

why? if you don't like the DI vs PI, then you can change this in VF if you don't like it. Lets not pester Matt with opinions for how you think he should be tuning....that is what VF is for you to do on your own.

Not sure where you read that I was offering opinions. Just wanted to see if the issue is just with Vlady, his method of gathering data or just his vehicle. A second or third validation either way is needed.

Not everyone is interested in VF.

Two people are concerned, Mat. The vast majority seem to trust your judgement, as do I.

You clearly recognize BMW’s past mistake. You have maintained Toyota’s cleaning schedule. The changes you made cause out trucks to run better and get better mileage.

Please don’t punish the rest of us in order to please a small minority who has zero data to prove that what you have done for us is a mistake. If they do not trust you, they can try and find someone else to tune their trucks.

    Respectfully......................Frank

Please don’t. Just leave it as you have set it up. If making these changes in vF Tuner is an option, then let the ones concerned make that specific change. That’s my 2 wooden nickels.

I’m not at all concerned about the DI/PI issue that is being brought up. It takes A LOT of miles for buildup to occur on DI engines...As long as the intake ports are seeing gasoline occasionally it will get rid of any build up.

it’s a serious overreaction and it’s not a problem in anyway.

I believe the "Final" 2.0 was released a couple of months ago for the MT. Is the current incarnation of the AT "Final+Test" injector set-up the same or different from that which the MT people have been running?

I have a 2016 and its original ECU firmware was horrible. The engine and transmission always seemed to be at odds with each other. 04B04 helped a lot and OVTUNE’s changes fixed the drivability issues. The only other issue was the rear differential recall, but after bitching they gave me a nice Highlander for a month while the recall was finally resolved.

I agree to leave the tune the way it is. I don't know enough to make that decision and if you think that after looking at vlady's info that it should not be a concern than I am with you Matt. I'm Glad to see posts like vlady's brought it to your attention. That's what this thread is for.

Speaking of empirical data, I and a ton of folks on here are waiting for the answer to OVTune’s question posed earlier:

“Can you please provide me with the data of how much time is required per drive cycle to ensure your valves are clean?”

I don't think anyone is taking it that seriously. It seemed like a good question and worth asking. Nothing wrong w reassurance or confirmation

    Remember, there are
-the cleaning injector cycle to blast the carbon of the tip of the di injector
    - spraying fuel via ports to mitigate the carbon build up on intake valvesunder low to moderate loads/rpms.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'll run data log this evening on combined drive and I'm out of this version..

I vote leave it how you have it! You said you are building 2.0 for what is best for the truck not one person’s opinion. If they don’t like it that’s what VF is for.

This latest release was intended to gather data. Maybe if you explained pros and cons of each way it would allow for all to help make a decision?

As longer as my valves are sprayed more than once in 30 min, I'll take the change.
