It’s not the battery. Mat confirmed that it’s in the tune.

Just trying to narrow things down... will let Matt and TW know if this happens. Has not happened to me yet (2.0 beta 19800 dump tube tune). Understood @Burmapeak sorry if I missed that.

Isn't it the 2.0 final test tune that has the issue?

Believe so?.. but was just adding my situation to try and create less confusion... It appears I have failed.

Not having that issue on my 2.0 test tune after cold starts. Could be a truck thing or a tune thing always tough to know.

That’s what I’m testing. Mat says he can fix the starting issue. Needing to put more miles on for the idle to calm down. Not going to say more until I put more miles on it. Just not fun driving a truck that behaves this way.

2017 Limited completely stock 2.0F 87 tune, and mine has a cold start hiccup (50-70 degrees F ambient).

Well, if you’ve been around long enough it could definitely be a truck thing. Each one acts a little different. I’m giving it till Friday than if it doesn’t get better I’ll go back to the Tune that works best for me and my application. Funny thing is my truck is almost identical to Mats Test Truck. Year, Make, Model, Engine, ECU, Tire Size.

So if the tune has a start issue that Mat is aware of, is it recommended to quit testing and switch back to a solid tune? It’s after 5 where I live and that question might be the ice cold beer talking but...makes sense right?

I got the start issue but I'm gonna keep running it. If it explodes then I'll just get a 2015.

January 2017 build. Stock battery still holding 12.6 V on the regs. Probably helps I commute 60-70 miles per day 5 days a week and lots of weekend trips skiing/biking. 72.5k on the ODO. Northern UT/SLC winters, so 20’s with snow, but rarely below 0. Probably need to replace it soon.
