Aha...Yeah that would make sense...the nozzle cleaning deal that it does? I have probably about 2500 miles on a single 2.0 sfob file...havent changed since day one drop. If i could source a scope of some sort id gladly try to snake it down an intake runner to see the back of the valve. But the whole lockdown mess really kinks that idea. I trust this tune...it would purely be to ease some minds.

If i knew how to techstream, id gladly log the entire drive up to camp in a weeks time....good mix of all kinds of driving. But i also have no idea if this tester tune is on the same playing field as the MT file.

here is 2.0 final low RPM vvt and misfire fix VVT

throw some logs up here on the forum and prove me wrong. You can log VVT. At this point it sounds like you are calling me a liar so lets see it.

If you are getting misfires I am not discounting it. But it's NOT from the same thing that I fixed individually with you.

    Yeah. DI cleaning.

Same here. Supposedly the intake comes off easily for the spark plug changes. I don't plan on doing it that way though.

I am thinking about doing this on our DI only Forester that has over 60k on it.

My truck had that "bumpy road" feeling that the 1.05.1 fixed. I still haven't tested it to see if it's still an ongoing problem.

    Anyways...
I would like to remind everyone of a few things and wont be repeating it as I have already said it too many times.

    1. You do not have to use this update if you don't want to.
    2. I'm not discussing PI and DI any further. There are reasons why we implemented the changes we did. If you don't agree with it, don't use it.
    3. for any issues that were discovered, they will be corrected.

and finally, if you don't have at least as much experience tuning engines as I do please stop providing me with your opinion of how to tune an engine. If your information comes from googling I am just going to ignore you from this point.

But! My cousin's grandma forwarded me this Facebook message about crackling exhausts on Jaaaaaaaaags . . .

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

You're doing a killer job. 2.0 just puts a smile on my face with every drive.

I absolutely love driving my truck these days. You wanna see a sketchy tune? Find yourself a 3.8 wrangler and get superchips handheld for it....that thing would predet so bad you could hear every valve cry for help....and i was using 93 octane lol.

Speaking of detonation, I cut my grass for the first time this year. In a few spots, I just didn't wanna deal, so I wired up the governor. The motor was not happy toward the end. But, it didn't stall except when the tank was empty.

It was between a Jeep and the Taco. I'm still glad that I made this choice. It has worked out perfect with a few easy mods and OVT.

I get about 8mpg towing, being stuck in 4th or 3rd. Just seems unacceptable to me. Always well within listed weight limits.

That is pretty bad. As of now with my trailer and bed full of goods I have not averaged below 12 (4.88's and 91 tune)

    Did you look at them?
    Cause some logs show
high rate of ms after the fix and not being consistent from day to day and speed dependent. I did not get any feedbacks on those submissions.
    As far what is abnormal.
I thought I pointed to the discrepancy in the statement to the data.
Is it abnormal? Have no clue. I do have an opinion on it, but I'm not the expert in the field and looking for peer reviews which can backup the design.
I do see the point why you do this way.
    Datalog on its way

The only logs I have are from 1 of the files you tested and decided to not test the others.
Going by your statement, the misfires were as good as stock and after 500+ miles testing everything looked normal and the truck was driving great.
According to you misfire rates were normal.

    So...has that now changed?

because those were the last messages I got from you.

Yeah, I can't see how that's "normal". I even try going around 60-65 even though I nearly get run over by semis, helps a little but not much. I'm running stock with 1.05. Can't imagine what it would be like without the tune.
