You gotta email once but only after 12pm eastern time, then email twice any time after 6pm eastern following the second Saturday of the first time u emailed. Then u wait for the registration key and u have to email that back a third time, time frame not important. Once u get the key, u need to follow a treasure map and find the crystal skull. Once that's found, ship it to the po box that's in your email. After that get a new laptop and Bada Bing bada boom, you can download 2.0 again from the repository.

 

@OVTune My dongle got returned to me because the folks at the post office never put postage on the package even after I paid for it. I am sending it out again today, so one more will be coming.

I sent it out on Monday and got it back today...

 

got my p5f reg and put on 2.0 87 31 - 33. initial impressions are really good for my type of driving. like power delivery and shifting. will give full update after more miles (only 40 so far). question as im new to p5f flash utility. I tried to clear both values and they both said completed unsuccessfully. is that a normal error or should I try several times until it says it was successful. tune accepted successfully just not clearing values.

You are right there, I would drive to those guys that can do the TSB for that, wouldn't mind to if I were in Canada but Im from Panama (that's central america next to colombia which is south america), dealership are stealership and worst than those in the USA because there is only 1 dealer for toyota

There is a process to convert from Dongle (.pcm) to Dongle-less (.p5f) flashing. There will be no .pcm files released for 2.0 Final.
But you need to send back your dongle in order to change to the new .p5f flashing method. Since you lost your dongle, you will need to contact Mat by zendesk.
You will (should) also be eligible to get the new vFTuner software for free with the dongle trade-in. But since you can't find the dongle, who knows . . .

after the flash is successful, you turn the truck off, then back to the on position, then reset the values, then shut the truck off, then disconnect the tactrix cable from the obd2 port, then start the truck. Ski

 

I’ll email and ask. I don’t really need the vftuner. I just want a “final” tune. Reading the first post about it doesn’t interest me. I’ve had some sort of tune on almost every vehicle I’ve had and don’t have the desire to custom tune this one.
Just want a few improvements (if any) on my current gear lock and also the hearing option now.

 

At this point your only option is the vfTuner and to purchase the tune pack to get the tunes.

 

There’s going to be one final tune release, 2.0 Final. After that it’s all up to vF Tuner

 

But if erok81 can't get something worked out with Mat, he may be able to get someone near him that has the same ECU version to help him out with a shared tune.
