Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I have also noticed the weird cold start.

 

I'm new to this Forum. Have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 with 285/65/18's on it. Same issue as everyone else here. Debating on doing a re-tune or a re-gear. Would do Nitro 4.88's. Thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

I also don't like the way my truck drives. I'd wait until VfTuner is released. VfTuner allows you to edit your own time to change things to your liking, such as shift points, etc..

Question for the thread regarding OG dongle trade ins:
I have already mailed the dongle back and did the VFTune dongle trade in order.
Are we now supposed to wait till the dongle is received and then OV will then send us the info we need or are we supposed to submit a ticket with all our info right away (order ids/name/etc)?

Figured I'd ask the thread rather than contribute to all the support tickets haha.

 

Submit a ticket. I included my name, contact info and original order number from when I bought the tune in ‘17.

Edit: this is what I did to be safe. If you mailed in your dongle with at least your name, he could likely match that to an email that you may have provided with your original purchase and send you the registration info for the new platform. I also included all the info that I sent him via email with my dongle.

 

Got excited to see the handheld get another update last night to 2.04. Tried it on the truck this morning, no dice...

 

I started by opening a ticket because it was before Mat had posted the address and instructions on the forum, but yeah once I got the address I replied with my System ID to get that started and told him I sent the dongle. From then it was like 6 days for me to get the reg key I think.

How exactly do I install it? VF tuner? Doesn’t pop up as an option in the standard flash module. Sorry if the questions are dumb

Do you want the 2.0 beta tune for 2020 AT? It’s not downloadable with Flash Manager. (Assume you mean Flash Manager when referring to ‘standard flash module’)

Download the beta tune you want from the bottom of the 2.0 public page: https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/2-0-public

Put the downloaded file in a location you can find using the Flash Manager pf5 flash utility. Flash.

 

Sent my dongle back on 4/17. Ordered vf tuner and sent in my system I'd. Nothing from @OVTune. Not even an acknowledgment that my dongle was received. Not looking for anything other than hey, we got your dongle, please be patient.

 

No one gets that. He will email it to you when its ready. Best way is to Zendesk let him know you havent got it yet.

 

Anyone have 2.0 OL 91 4.88 34-35 loaded up ?

 

Or just wait, because he has already said he is swamped with tickets. We're all in the same boat waiting for reg keys and VF tune release.
