Hey, someone has to make sure all our manufacturing facilities are running! I've been putting out fires all morning and getting production lines back online from other people's screw ups. If I have a chance at lunch here in a few I will load it. I won't be making any comments for another couple days to let the re-learn process happen.

How long did it take to get your dongles (lol) activated? I am on 5th day, normal?

Nope, There are 4 downloads listed in the instructions. You only need to do 3. Skip the guardant license installer (grdTRU.exe file). If you number them, you download numbers 1,2 and 4.

Then make sure to install the first two downloads which then allows the dongle to be read.

Sent my dongle serial # yesterday and anxiously waiting for the registration key back. How long have others waited for the registration key?

 

3 days for me from time of read to time of receiving serial key.

 

It was about 34 hours from the time I emailed Matt my serial number until the time I received the license registration code.

 

FYI, this transmission isn't capable of skipping gears, it may just be changing quicker now though.

I'm kind of liking 1.02C (A) but kind of not, it seems very busy now and coming to a stop was smooth in 1.02B, now I can feel it changing down gears abruptly and it isn't smooth. 1st gear seems to be a little aggressive.

I'm not sure how it immediately going from 6th gear to 3rd gear without going first to 5th, then to 4th, and then to third is not skipping gears. Are you able to elaborate?

 

You may like (B) better. I like (A) so far, I can now smoke the tire for a ways with traction control off going around a corner. You are right though A is not as smooth as 1.02, I never loaded 1.02B.

thx, I had all 3, 2 driver files and one app. (PCMflash) all installed, just waiting on the kit!

looks like I'd start from mid page 7 as he said the new dongles would be pre-registered.

 

As a matter of fact, this is not true. I have the Kiwi 3 with OBD Fusion tool and am looking directly at transmission gears (along with tc lock up). It does in fact skip gears according to the computer. I was surprised to learn this as well.

I forgot to add, for the "softer" 1st gear, you should flash 1.02c version C. It has stock (softer) 1st gear.

 

But pre-registered only means that it comes with the serial number. You'll still have to email the serial number to Matt to get your activation code before you can pick up on page 7. Then you'll need to pick up at the top of page 4.

...I didn't. Download J2534 Driver, Guardant USB driver, download PCMFlash, Read ECU, e-mail ECU file. That's it.

When I download pcm flash it gives me a zip file, what do I do from there?

 

Well I don't know what to say. I received my kit on the 27th, did the installation and emailed the serial number to Matt. He emailed me back the registration key (l-o-n-g hex number) on the 29th. Only then could I proceed to page 7 to read the ECU. I know there are others in this thread currently waiting for their registration key email... blkbelt42 please let us know which procedure works for you.
