    Regardless, occasionally he has provided something useful. If he left his opinion out, it would be 10x as useful.

    Sure, here is my clarification.
    You said that under DI injection is easy for you to maintain stoichiometric ratio and DI behifits the truck.
    Well, you did go that route, but inadvertently change the injection mode, cutting PI+DI mode off after the coolant reaches 200°. Pretty much radically altering the engine ops design.
    Whatever vision you had about controlling afr,etc., it failed you to see the whole picture, hence "getto" tuning.
    Otherwise you would see startup issues before release and your statement on PI+DI usage contradicts the data.

    yes this is what I’ve experienced. Yes I did extend wires on the wiring harness.

    I tested this on our dev truck a long time ago, its right here in this thread. I did not run into this problem or I wouldn't have released it for further testing.
    Toyotas OEM fuel design is terrible considering the year it was released, and a a huge change to the logic was required to actually make the engine run more efficiently.
    Don;t believe me? take a few years and study the logic and design of current model calibrations of different manufacturers, read the patents.
    Then study Toyotas.
    They use a fuel logic design that is 13+ years behind other manufacturers fuel control logic.
    What does that do? that makes the fuel control much less refined.
    It is actually 1 step ahead of old narrow band design.
    Which I bet you dont know what that is, but its 1990s level design.
    Nissan for example produced a better fuel control in 2007 than this truck has in 2020. A few bugs can be expected during testing, which is why I released it to test.

    Mazda,a tiny company in comparison had full closed loop control 10 years ago.

    Toyota still does not have this. The front 02 sensors are not even accurate at richer AFR, that's how far behind the tech is.



    Also, if you think radically changing fuel control on tuning D4S systems is getto, dont look up about tuning FRS/BRZ.


    Never called you desperate, but I do recall offering it more than a year ago.

    Vlady has already admitted he’s not a tuner in an earlier post so he has 0% validity in anything he says, he’s trying to sound technical cause he clicks some buttons in techstream. Like everyone says just ignore him cause he has no experience in tuning. Problem solved.
