@OVTune , Some feedback about 2.0 Beta...

I'm running the latest 5.29 tune for 04B04 with the 31-33" tire option (I think that's what it is) with about 400 miles on it so far, and my only complaint is that ignition is super inconsistent. I don't know if this is your code or not, but sometimes it turns over after only a couple cranks, sometimes it's cranking for a good 2 seconds before it turns over. And I don't think it's my battery because it's a brand new Northstar 31AGM.

 

He's aware of the startup issue and is correcting it.

 

there is a cold start up issue we are addressing.

I wasn't able to find any threads about a 2013 too, but I have a 2013 Tacoma V6 4.0 and I just got the ovtune and I'm kind of bummed out that there's not much for my truck is there anybody that has a download I could get from you guys for a full-blown and take and an exhaust system..

all super custom dual-exhaust opened up air injection headers and fully customized aluminum box intake manifold with 3 and 1/2 inch cold air intake

I've had the vF key since last week sometime. Just received the p5f key and got it set up and working.

Whatever the tuner was before the vF. It’s the thing I need to put the 1.05 tune on my truck.... nothing with vF yet

 

How bad is it for the engine? If we're experiencing this shoukd we switch tunes or is it just a personal preference kinda thing?

we will have a new version up in just a few days so if you guys want to flash back to a previous tune you can.

It excessive cranking *could* cause some additional wear over the entire life of the truck, if it were say over the course of 60k-100k miles.

 

I had meant receiving an email from OV Tune in regards to master key/reg key or whatever it takes for whatever a person just purchase.

 

He said he was sending more out today

 

And this tune runs too damn good to go back lol

 

I was about to flash back (sad panda) to the 19800 but it’s warmed up here (mid 50*F morning starts) and my truck hasn’t been having the start up issue consistently. It still does it occasionally. If it continued to happen every start I was going to flash back to be cautious. Since it’s become less common, I still running the new tune.

Approaching 500 miles and almost 2 full tanks of gas on the 2.0 91 31-33 no gear test tune. Really liking the way it drives so far. No other issues to date. Daily driver ~70 miles a day roughly 3 days a week. Speeds between 20 and 85 (A few 90+) mph. Mileage in the high 17’s MPG with 265/75/R16 C load, sliders, Al skid trilogy, ARE shell, etc... Happy camper, patiently waiting for final 2.0.
