Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

They had it for 2 full days. Picked it up at the end of the second day. Awesome job. If you want nitro gears I believe it was $2-300 more. They say the Yukon and nitro gears are made by the same manufacturer with just a different stamp on them and packaging box

 

How'd you manage to get them to reimburse?

 

Sent em an email with the OEM battery test and receipt for the new battery

 

Only had to replace the battery once on my 08' MT in 10 years....

 

Same price for a 4x4 as where I got mine. Your choice of Yukon or Nitro at least for mine.

 

What is this alternator upgrade you are speaking of?

 

The one that won't have any impact, because the ECU won't see the extra output.

@OVTune Regarding support ticket#15139:

I attached my ORI file to the email chain, but am starting to think maybe the ticket was closed since it's been over a week since I've heard anything? Should I create another ticket to request the 1.05 files? I don't know what's involved with creating the 1.05 tune files for each ORI file, so if it's taking awhile due to the times, I understand.

You mean the one that Mat sent a test file out, and a few members confirmed that it increased the charge voltage?

 

We have confirmed alternator control and can modify and increase voltage output / charging voltage, which is a feature in Vf Tuner.

 

Is that in the vF tune thread, or this one?

 

I have your ticket, we are just swamped. We will get to it as quickly as possible. Rafael and I are both going through tickets as quick as possible.

We have roughly 600 inquiry tickets, and are working mon-sun right now

Why not keep all the vF info on the vF thread and leave this for the flash/dongle people.

And keep this thread specifically about ovtune and not go off on tangents.

 

I am working on sending some handheld / file updates today though.

Here is how we are processing things, in this order

1. Current customers needing transferred
2. Current customers needing updates
3. Updated test/version 2.0
4. new customer inquiries
5. verification of test/updates
6. final release
7. Final release for handhelds.


But we still have our previous files for the handhelds can and are working on providing.

 

MT ECU ID 04B14 2.0 Final will release this weekend.
(new ECU version for 2016-17)
