Nah. Not since he pulled the links. My guess is an updated one tomorrow. Purely speculation though

I’m not a die hard manual guy, but I do enjoy driving them. The sports car world is really taking it hard too. With the magic of today’s dual clutch autos, the performance difference between the manual and the auto is getting bigger and bigger. That being said, I’ll still accept the 0.3 - 0.5 second difference in 0-60 times to row my own gears on the weekend. I wanted a manual convertible, and the wife isn’t a fan of either. I was only willing to give up one of the two... I have a hard top. :)

For trucks, and the Tacoma specifically, I really didn’t consider the manual but honestly should have. If the redesign does away with the manual, I’m going to be kicking myself a little.

Yep, to each their own. Like I said, AT is now superior in performance in pretty much every platform across all manufacturers. I'm not a speed/performance junkie. I just like being in control and rowing gears.

I second that. It's an absolute must have for the AT, and from what I see on here, the MT too.

To say toyota butchered the factory tune is an understatement. It’s some hot garbage, especially on the 16–17 trucks

So true. I was 04B03, that was garbage...... especially when pulling out into traffic and it shuts the bed. Got OVtune 1.5 and it was a world of difference. Upgraded to 04B04 and it was better, but 1.5 was still better. 2.0 latest test file is so nice. Worth the price for sure.

Yeah there is something special about rowing your own gears in a sports car...HOWEVER, when you get in a car with a GOOD auto trans (high end dual clutch), there is just something magical about them, especially if you are on a track or a really curvy back road.

I think it’s the ability to still choose your own gears but not having to operate a clutch pedal lets you put more focus into the driving experience (aka going faster).

there are pros and cons to both. I’d argue that the only way to get the full drivers experience is with a manual trans. Any idiot can put their foot in the floorboard of any vehicle with an auto trans and go fast. Sure, zero to 100 is going to be a fraction faster in an auto. That’s not the point and people are forgetting that. The day I can’t buy a set of wheels with a manual trans anymore is the day I buy something with auto drive and quit driving all together.
