sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
i got a legitimate question- im on 265 75 16 now with the 31-33 tune. if i throw my 245 75s on for a trip, how much would it wack out the shift points? or should i just flash to the stock size tire version of the tune?

    about 3.5%

you can always try it and if you don't like it, flash to stock tire size.

I finally think I got the 1.05.1 installed. Dumb question time after the last few posts. I did the 1.05.1 stock tune. My truck is on kings with 33" tires. Should I be tuning it differently?

FYI, version 1.05.1 is intended ONLY for those who experienced stuttering with 1.05. The stutter issue only affected a very small subset of trucks.

If you did not install 1.05 and experience stutter problems, you should not use 1.05.1.

Also, if you selected "stock" in the flash manager, you didn't actually download and install an aftermarket tune. Instead, all you did was re-flash the stock tune that was already on the truck from the factory.

You need to download and flash either the 87, 91, or 93 octane versions of 1.05 -- and, of those, choose either the base, performance, or gear lock versions, specifically. Those are the actual aftermarket tunes.

I believe I downloaded and flashed the 1.05.1 87 octane base. I thought the 1.05.1 was gfor people experiencing the low speed shudder on take off? I get the second or two of vibration shudder when I take off in my truck. 0-15mph.

That's what I said -- 1.05.1 is for those who experienced the shudder/stutter on the regular 1.05.

Your post made it sound like you went straight to 1.05.1 without first testing 1.05, and you also described what you flashed as the "stock tune."

There is no version of 1.05 for different size tires. That concept/feature was only later introduced in the 2.0 beta versions.

If you tested 1.05 first, experienced shudder/vibration, and really did install the 1.05.1 87 octane base, then you're fine. I was just making sure.

Forgive my stupidity on this. I went straight to 1.05.1 base 87 tune. I had the shudder prior to ovtune.

Ok, then you should probably go back and try 1.05 first. If the shudder persists after letting 1.05 settle in for 150+ miles, or so, then swap back to 1.05.1. You basically don't want the changes made in 1.05.1 if the shudder isn't there in 1.05. Make sense?

Trust me, you're not the first to get confused about that. A lot of people have done the same.

Got it. Do I simply redo the instructions as if I have never tuned it before? Or do I need to do something else to wipe the other tune clean? Feel free to speak to me without filters. I'm a big boy and have thick skin. lol

Just re-flash it using the 1.05 87 base file using the same flash process you used for the other one. No need to do any other steps in between.

You can always clear the learning values after flashing, but I personally don't think it's necessary when simply switching between 1.05 versions.

So what’s your pick? AT or MT?

What do you think about VF tuner?

Did you know that many scientists believe it is a possibility that there are more dimensions than just ours but our dimension is ironically limited to only 3 dimensions?
