Cool - so i'm all ready for 2.0 then on 13 it seems. I think i'll do this and hang back on 14 for now. I went down this rabbit hole to get the 14.7v out of my alternator... so customizing 2.0 to get the added v's is next

Did you purchase a flash kit in the past? I remember you saying you didn’t, IIRC.

flash manager won’t do you any good then. It’s only for those who purchased the flash kit before Mat discontinued it.

First impressions - it feels peppy, and more leveled out in terms of power. I'm used to the truck bouncing all over the place from the junk stock tune on 10. this felt more controlled. so far so good. i have a long trip tomorrow, i can report back more.

as far as alternator voltage.... now what? i've got 2x pc1400 g35's begging for 14.7v!

edit: also, side question i should have asked earlier - where is the change log for the 2.0 tune? what exactly am i getting? :)

If you want peppy, try the base SFOB tune..... Don't drive through your garage door. :rofl:Be sure to give it at least a tank, preferably two to "settle". Also, use the "Reset LV" button in P5F.

What you got is a preview of the soon to be released VFtune and tune packs. What you have is the result of the last 3 years of development. Pre-packaged tunes, flash and go with a few different options. VFtune uses the same flash utility, so you are able to try it out and decide what it is (other than charge voltage) you want to play with.

Once VF is released you won't need the flash manager anymore and you will be able to adjust the voltage.

Once the tune packs are released for vF, I’d say there will be a 2.0f tune with increased voltage that will start circulating for about every ECU. A lot of us are running AGM’s so it will be A popular tune.

Roger that. It feels different already, i can tell that. What is SOFB? i see it in there, but where is the descriotion of what i'm getting?
How do i bust the tunes open and get to the voltage settings? now i'm itching to fiddle!

    Agreed!

Thanks gents for all your help so far. 3203 pages is a lot of bs to get through for help :)

It's described somewhere in the MT thread. I don't have it bookmarked though. Basically the FOB tunes eliminate simulated Atkinson cycle mode and give you more power in the lower RPM range. Trust me, you want to try one of those especially with the MT. Use base if you are running 87 and prem if you are running 93.

    You wait for VFtune.

I'll keep a definite eye on it. I drove it for the first time in a week to test the tune. With COVID, my driving is down to maybe one day a week and less than 7-miles.

I felt like a kid again upon first drive. It made the truck come to life.

    Toyota should employ @OVTune
