If anything, I was asking / recommending adding a new shift map, not replace existing maps. I know there are plenty of people who prefer shift map A.

Maybe Shift A feels rough with stock tires

    I have 285 ko2's and love 1.02C Shift A

I'm quite picky so don't take this as word. I enjoy comfort and 1.02B was really nice for that, smooth and simple, this A tune has a taller feeling 1st gear and is a little edgy which causes me to move forward when it changes to 2nd (ratio difference). I may flash A again and see if the learning was the issue, I sit in traffic morning and night getting my 4miles home so it may have learnt bad habits.

That could be, I am completely stock. 1st gear was never an issue for me, even with stock tune. 1.01B and 1.02B tune 1st gear was fine as well.

I hate this about this truck - in the future they need to connect the learning to google maps or something so it can take the situation into account. I’ve had this issue a number of times even on stock where if I’m in the city for a couple of weeks and don’t head out to the mountains or for a long interstate drive it starts to drive like crap - allegedly bc it’s optimizing itself for the stop and go traffic then doesn’t have the ability to adapt quickly for other driving scenarios. I’d just rather the learning be gone - add a couple more buttons for city and highway in addition to ECT to replace the learning....... one can wish

Mine was firmer at first and has smoothed some, but I only have 50 miles and I know from running all versions except 1.02b and participating in the testing that things can and will change with more miles and driving environment.

wishing for 1.02C shift map 4 is like wishing Jessica Alba could be half inch taller. Its already a nearly perfect package, but small refinements wouldn't hurt.

And I want to keep OVT busy so he can never get to the MT guys :boink:

I am kidding, MT guys

Does that actually change anything? I've read both ways. The SSP guy said he didn't think calibrating the speedo did anything as far as shifting goes.

Same tune here. Love it, and just ordered mesojdm's ECT Auto on module.

I love my 1.02C version A 91 octane with 33's and 4.88 gears everything feels just about perfect. Every once in a while I get an early shift to 4th (2000 rpm in 4th) that bogs the engine a tiny bit but that's easily solved with more skinny pedal to avoid that shift.

I only have about 75 miles so far so some more ECU learning will take place

Change anything in the tune? Don't think so. But at least my speedo, Miles till empty, ODO, etc will be correct. It's even worse for you on 37's.

This tune was a big reason why I went through with the ECT auto on module. It's icing on the cake with the OV tune!

Oh I meant the shift points. I'd do it for sure if that made a change. The rest of stuff I can estimate.

Only some files have been sent, and more to the point, none of the calibrations released to date are specific to the M/T. They are simply ported from the A/T tunes. M/T owners have known from the start of this process that we would be taking a back seat until the A/T shitshow got sorted out. Mat said as much, in that ~80% of his business WRT 3rd gen Tacos is for auto trans. I get it.
Now that all this amazing work has been done, you guys have choices. It seems as though the majority are happy with those choices.

Our day in the sun is finally less than a week away, as a M/T will be on the dyno on Oct 18th. We have been waiting patiently (mostly lol), while being teased by how good these trucks can be with ECM tuning. Now, I am starting to see people ask for optional stuff again like speedo calibrations and gear lock. Heck, there also seems to be a growing request to alter one of your three available 1.02C tunes!
Are they actually thinking that this stuff is more important than helping out the remaining 20% of OVtune's customers?
    Just relax and wait
