It seems he's trying to convey via Limp Bizket that Mat and OVTune have sold 6000 tunes at 700 a piece so Mat should be a multi-millionaire are can afford more help.

If that is indeed the case then this individual has no clue about business ownership.

Hi Matt, before one of my two eyes fell out, i worked in web development. I was pretty good, now, only half as good.

I think a solution to 'spreading information out too much' which leads to confusion for your communications with others, especially in a forum like this one - would be if you could create a single FAQ in a question and answer format that would address most of the primary recurring questions that get asked again, and again, and again.

When your situation changes, just update one single FAQ source-of-truth so that that becomes the standard comm for everyone going forward. and if you see that question posted again by someone in the thread, hyperlink directly to where you previously awnsered that question to direct people there.

This way you only need to really maintain one narrative, for everyone, you manage expectations and everyone is aligned and updated on the latest and greatest. Could save u alot of headaches.

Without /sarc font, it is hard to tell, but I think you were being serious and funny.

My apologies if you weren't, but that did give me a laugh.

I'm just ready for final final final 2.0, so I can leave this thread behind.

A fancy website might help, but wouldn't it be easier just email your customers with news updates? I get email every damn time Duluth comes out with new pair of boxers. That reminds me, I need to order some under bridges....... See, effective.

He has done a FAQ before, and yet people will still ask the same questions that have been answered. Or someone will ask a question that was answered literally 2 posts up. Too many people just want it spoonfed to them without taking any initiative.

Yeah it wouldn’t be hard to put out a mass email with Constant Contact. Just put in the email addresses from anyone who has ever bought OV.

Lord knows I get emails daily from all kinds of vendors. Never know when you might catch a secret sale or a hot deal. It’s really effective IMO.

For better or worse, people are buying a product, not applying for a job. It's OK for these people to expect good customer service. And from time to time, that involves hand holding.

In other news. I feel 2.0 is close. When my left knee aches, it's usually means we're close to a rele-ase

Yeah but people would have to read it, which really is the issue

I’d definitely make sure replies get sent to a black hole or your gonna get bombarded every time you send out an email

Exactly. Worst case, so long as he receive it, you should be able to dig up the serial number you sent him that is printed on the side of the dongle. I can't see how it would be lost forever unless USPS literally lost it. Best of luck, sir!

True, which if that is the case, OP will need to know ASAP so he can file a claim with USPS before his claims window expires. I'm sure they'll figure it out one way or another.

Well priority mail/priority express does come with included insurance $50/$100 (can buy more if desired). However some people sent in a plain white envelope (first class mail) and if they didn’t buy insurance and it was lost they are SOL.

Love the product and read this thread every day.

I would say most of the stuff is too technical. I personally can’t read half the charts. It’s almost impossible to find out the particular differences between the files. Ie: torque horsepower gains between stock, 87,91, etc.

Not complaining, just saying there should be a spot to get high level basics
