Agreed, that's what vF tuner is for.

No, that is not what vF tuner is for. This was an advertised feature of the tune before vF tuner was ever even a discussion.

Changing tip-in, battery voltage, etc. that’s what vF tuner is for.

I am one of the users who had the speed limiter go away at first and then come back. I don’t know why or how. I’m guessing it has something to do with the transmission learning logic but don’t know enough to say for sure. I’m sure @OVTune knows what’s going on and will make quick work of it.

I never recall Mat EVER saying he would remove the speed limiter,in fact probably quite the opposite as that would open up huge liability concerns for him.

He HAS said it (since were emphasizing words with caps). I’m on my phone so not searching too hard, but here’s one of the many times he has discussed it (over a year ago).

Looks more like making an adjustment to compensate for gear/tire size to correct the problem vs removing the limiter since it says limited to 90mph with or w/o tune.

+1 for removing the limiter. Not that I speed, but I got the 5.29 Nitro's this week and baby'd it over the pass. I could see where the limiter may come in handy to be removed.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I recall him saying that he would remove the speed limiter for off road only trucks and that you had to prove that the vehicle was off rd use only

This is incorrect. See image above and search thread for other responses and discussion on this topic (including post by @OVTune today).

There's a quote from him 3 posts above yours saying he will fix it, i had seen it mentioned many times as well. anyway, I didn't mean for my question about a 5.29 ovtuned truck hitting the rev limmiter at WOT in 2nd gear to 3rd gear to turn into a disscussion about 5.29 speed limiter but that's how this thread goes!

That was a year or so ago he said that. Maybe he was referring to the governer, as some people were asking about removing the top speed governer. And not that an n/a tacoma is going to break top speed off rd, but I’m sure he was talking about long travel prerunner type circumstances.

this thread is like an acid trip. It goes waaaay off the rails then settles back down to some cool interesting discussions, then next thing you know your dog is talking to you, reminding you how you're a bad son.

I had the start up stumble on 2.0 so I flashed back to 1.5 and I'm still having it every so often. Any one else?

Or, y'know, it's a problem he thought was fixed but apparently isn't, so it would make sense to make sure it's fixed before releasing because not all of us are going to get vF. However, he could release what he has now and then release an update fix later so people don't screech and cry and whine about another delay. Edit: I'm only talking about the regear tunes, don't care if he messes with the standard 2.0 tune

Understandable, I think the majority of us (and my original point) was fixing the re-gear tunes. I don't care about him removing the governor for the standard tune
