I have been running the 2.0 beta for a stock truck for a while now. The gearlock works in old style cruise, But not in Adaptive cruise control.

Instead of just touching the cruise button to turn on adaptive CC, hold it down for about a second, the dash symbol will change and it’s now in old style cruise control.

I don’t like the adaptive cruise riding the brakes and almost never use it.

Change the follow distance and it won't brake as much, or does yours brake too much to limit speed?

It brakes a LOT, then rides the brakes to maintain distance. Since learning how to disable it, I rarely use ACC.

for me Gearlock does not work in either style of Cruise control. Adaptive or old style (holding CC button down). But, it definitely works with CC off and ECT on. On the tune i'm running 04b31 2.0B 91 shift build 19800

I wonder why people are having such inconsistencies with gearlock

Because they're on completely different builds, as far as I can tell.

Adaptive cruise in this truck is absolutely worthless to me. On the minimum distance setting, it leaves JUST enough room for someone to get in front of you, and then BOOM! Brakes.

Toyota’s opinion if safe following distance isn’t based on more than two vehicles: lead vehicle and following vehicle.

I agree, in some traffic patterns it leaves just enough for yet one more person to get to work 1.2 seconds earlier.

So, just to clarify. I would need these 2 items in picture from OV Tune and the openport 2.0 from tactrix to get the process started correct? @OVTune

Using cruise on a steady incline?!... Never even considered that. Pretty sure it will shift like that using cruise on stock or any tune. Gonna want gear lock for sure.

I recall Mat explaining that during normal driving, the tune uses data provided by the throttle/pedal position or something to that effect.

While CC, either adaptive or not, does not provide this throttle/pedal data. Since no throttle/pedal is being applied in CC, then GL won't work.
That's how I understood it many hundreds of pages back, when I first inquired about why GL does not work when in CC.
