    Initial thoughts on B31/33/5.29/THX.

40 miles in. Adaptive cruise is better for sure. Still up shifts to 4th.

When you touch the throttle be ready to move.
All in all great tune. I’m going to run this for 500 miles (aka a week lol) and then try the non THX and see how I like the pedal then. There shouldn’t be much difference other than the way it gets off the line.

    Great tune.

If you go to your tire manufacturer's website and find your tire just look under specs and it will tell you the exact size. Sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer a lot in the same sizes.

That is my classic problem with ATs. I want a bit more acceleration than part throttle. GL gives the ability to smoothly accelerate without the AT assuming that there is a 45deg incline ahead and dropping two or three gears.

Basically, I want (need?) to have full use of the throttle for the gear that I am in.

I have never fit the mold of an AT thinking for me?

Meh, I drive enough that it only takes a day or 2 for tunes to settle. Plus, if I don’t try different tunes, how do I really know what I like and don’t like?

Here is from the information page:

Enhanced Throttle = Some throttle changes that makes the throttle more sensitive based on vehicle speed and requested Torque (accelerator, basically).
Tip in is not modified between the two nor is the low speed range.

So I’m hoping someone has ran across this or can help. I recently had to upgrade my laptop from windows 7-10. I have not tried Ovtune until last night. The buttons to flash and reset In P5flash are grayed out. I went in and made sure the virus settings were off and even the exe file that Matt has posted to make sure was off is off. I’ve reinstalled Ovtune completely and still have the same issues. I did put in an zen desk ticket to register a newer laptop but in the meantime was hoping I could at least resolve this laptop just to get 2.0 running until I have the reg key for the new laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks

Thank you for the review Deadpixel!
When you are seeing those downshifts from 6th to 5th, can you confirm that it is in fact downshifting, test with our logger, or other OBD app if you have. It looks more like torque converter unlock, not downshifts

I went from windows 7 to 10 as well, but didn't have any problems. Did you change laptops, or go from 7 to 10 on the same laptop?

@ihatemytruck Same laptop. It still shows my name next to the system id in p5. Super frustrating. Spent hours last night trying to figure out with no avail.

    send us your system ID.
99% of the time when this happens it means the ID changed.

Hey guys I hate to ask this again, I'm just unclear on it. I've been a customer since April, pretty familiar with the tuning process. I have VFTuner, a Tactrix, and the tune pack. Just flashed 2.0 final yesterday and I love it. I drive a '16 SR5 AT. I have a buddy that would like to get on 2.0, he has an '18 (unsure of trim) AT and he is currently on stock. I'm headed downstate this weekend and going to meet him to flash his truck with my PC. Does he need a VF license or can I just flash him without him needing to buy anything? I know this is all explained on the first page but I still don't understand.

Initial impressions off a quick 50km mountain rd are impressive.

    it’s worth it trust me

Unless you absolutely need it. I’d suggest it. Coming from another 04A61

You just need to buy credits for his ECU version, if I understand correctly.

Edit: I may be thinking of the vF tunes, not the p5f tunes.

From what I understand he needs to buy a liscense. And maybe a tune pack?

Welp, I just learned an important lesson in following directions, figured I'd share...

Yesterday I flashed 2.0 final for regular fuel, went for a very quick ride last night, all was well. The truck hasn't been driven at all for over 2 weeks, other than my drive last night.

Today I decided to flash the premium fuel tune since I've been running 93 in the tank for a couple of months anyway. I tried to quickly flash it between a couple of work calls and half-assed it because I was trying to rush it. I totally forgot to check the voltage, or turn off my accessories like headlights, HVAC, etc. because I was rushing to get it done.

I get like halfway though the flash, and BAM, it fails with a warning to the effect of "the flash has failed, DO NOT to turn off the truck to avoid PERMANENT ECU DAMAGE". I noticed that the voltage was only ~11.9 after it failed. That really puckered my asshole, but I left the ignition on, turned off every accessory, popped the hood, and hooked up my battery tender for about 30 minutes. Thank God that I was able to flash it successfully after that and didn't brick the truck. I flashed it, cleared the AT and LV, and now it's idling in my garage.

Anyway, point is, PSA: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! The voltages and electrical draw really do matter during the flash process.

I know I haven't fully broken in the tune yet, but first impressions the truck feels really good and shifts where I want it to and holds the rpm very well. I'm on the 33" 87 thx file with 265/70/17 wildpeaks. First drive to work today after tuning and breaking in the truck for approx 10 miles. If I keep getting these mpg's I will be one happy camper!!IMG_20200617_042943.jpg

Yeah fuel mileage seems super promising. Even early on, which almost never happens
