That is a reference to an old tip-in shitpost.

There is no issue with flashing to 2.0 then back to 1.05 if needed correct? I want to try out 2.0 but will be towing for 800ish miles later today so if there is any issue be able to flash back.

This is 100% possible based on some levels of software and/or hardware updates made to a system. Luckily Mat can provide a new key.

You can flash anything that you got, including old test or Beta tunes as long as the ECU ID matches.

Most of the folks that I know who sampled the 2.0 full versions have given up on anything from the past.

I have been keeping my tuning computer updated as it is my main machine. No issues with several big updates. Always expecting the worst though.

Yes I read all that. But it’s pretty vague. Like some people on here saying “when you put your foot down be ready to move” I didn’t feel that. I feel like it’s more sensitive at lower speeds around town etc then at highway it dampens out and won’t be as touchy. To get a gear shift on highway speed without using S mode I have to floor it. In 1.05 I would touch slightly and it would awaken like a lazy dog smelling morning bacon.

Just downloaded the new tune. The stumble start is gone so that's great. I am confused now of what 2.0 final is supposed to be? is this the final or another beta? No gearlock or ECT function? Thought gearlock wasn't going away unless you want to remove it with VF tune?

There’s a drop down option that says “install all” or something. You click that then the P5flash should be not greyed.

@OVTune Or somebody can you please explain in more detail about the enhanced throttle option and the ECT function on this version! Apologies if it’s in here or somewhere.

I will be testing them both and trying to compare myself until i hear from someone else that has. I'm assuming that THX would be quicker to downshift than non THX tune based on throttle position. But looking forward to hearing more from someone that's tested both or more straight from Ovtune!

Let's call it a "partial release". This is the final version of no gearlock, no performance tunes. In the future, gearlock will also be available. Most likely, there will be additional ECT functionality as well (like a performance map), but I haven't seen any confirmed specifics on it yet.

Mat didn't say Dongles will no longer be supported. Just offered free trade in for VF tuner.

He said no more PCM files will be released. Folks can certainly keep their dongles, but they won't get new stuff.
