What is up with the sudden surge of people wanting to run 87 on a Premium tune?
Even with OLE, If I was running 87, then I would stick with the Base tune.
    Towing? Uh... press the ECT...

Best gas today, shit gas tomorrow

Curious why its the opposite on my 2016. After all flashes (ECU tsbs and Tunes) the truck drives amazing then starts driving like crap after a 1k or so miles. It still does it even when tuned. Although, after the 2.0 final flash it has started off driving like crap, so maybe it will improve? I sure hope so because the 2.0 final I flashed seems worse than the previous beta after 5000 miles on the previous beta (which degraded over that time)

My 2016 always drives best after 3 tanks and after one tank is spent on continuous driving

I am curious if there are any specs on what the new tune does to a stock truck, no dump tubes. Like whats the power increase for the base 2.0 Final and the premium 2.0 Final tunes? Any MPG increases either?

Trying to decide if its worth going with the premium tune and paying the extra 30-40 cents a gallon or if 87 octane is enough for me.

Yeah, I kinda figure that if there was some kind of advantage of running "X" octane on "Z" tune, Mat would've just programmed it that way... I'm just glad that I won't have to bring my laptop on long trips now though, since if I'm forced to use a different octane it won't cause damage.

good to know. so I will just flash the premium tune and run 93 octane for the first tune to see what it's like and then revert back to 87 octane from there after.

There is definitely a power difference with 91 octane vs 87 and towing I get about 2mpg better. Overall you can notice a difference in 91 vs 87. It’s not a placebo

ran the stock THX file, feels great so far (only 20 miles on it) haven’t taken it on the highway yet. Much better than the beta, doesn’t do the early 3-4 shift anymore which drove me nuts. Thanks mat!

Are most of you clearing learned values as recommended? I’m wondering why most are reporting a great driving experience right off the bat while other trucks (mine included) are starting off rough. I went with B04 premium thx 33” and cleared values post flash. Hoping for it to smooth out over the next tank or two

Same here, same ECU and tune. Maybe our ECU verison just is a lil slow and takes longer to get up to speed, ha.
