No I cleared nothing and love how my trucks running. I cleared all the values when the last 2.0 beta came out and didn’t like how it ran for quite a while so this time I’m just running the 2.0 final with old values and working out well so far.

I apologize if this has been covered but I can’t find the answer..

I tuned my truck with 1.05 performance tune 91 octane over a year ago.

I still have the same laptop I tuned my truck with but I wiped my laptop clean because I had to download an antivirus (it was a brand new laptop)

I want to download 2.0. Do I need to email Matt again to get a license key?

What are the necessary steps again? I still have the orange OBD cable.

    thank you in advance.

That is t a boost effect it’s the variable valve timing that changes above 3500-4K. That’s just what variable valve timing sounds like when it switches.

Oh I know, the cam over effect use to be much more prevalent. Not even a sound, just the power and delivery became much more urgent.

On my particular truck, this is greatly reduced with the power and being very smooth through the range

My 19800 2.0 tune has definitely degraded over time. Not only has the driving itself worsened, my average mpg dropped significantly over the last 5000 miles, as well.

I sincerely hope that doesn't happen with the final version. Fingers are crossed!

The AT is apparently different than the MT, or the OLE logic has changed.

or we (MT guys) misunderstood from back when 2.0 MT came out

go with what mat just said lol

Need some help... don’t know if I missed something or need a different file. But.. I still have a dongle and I’m trying to flash 2.0 but it is saying “there is a problem preparing selected file. Probably it’s corrupted... please check it and try again.”

Do I need a .bin file?
    Using PCMFlash 1.2.1

It’s been a while since I flashed 1.05. Can 2.0 be updated with a dongle? Please help. Thanks!

    Can @OVTune or anyone answer:

Is gear lock coming out for 2.0? Will there be a performance tune with more tip-in / throttle response. Coming off 1.05 perf 91 running 94 no ethanol this 2.0 feels more like stock other than less hunting. I have to mash the pedal just to feel anything.
    Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Dongles are now out of the ovtune game simply because of alot of shitshow on the forums. you have to send it in to ovtune and you will run it like all the other regular flash kits.

this isnt the full 2.0 release. This is just a tip of the iceberg sort of speak cuz so many people have been constantly asking and questioning 2.0 so matt released some files for 2.0. Gear lock and all the other features will come when he finishes what needs to be done. Flash manager updates etc etc

I cleared the values as recommended, and it drove awesome (like perfect) right out of the garage and several miles now (I am 04B04 fully stock truck, flashed the Reg_stock_Thx), l am very impressed so far and will provide feedback in the next few days. For me, all the tunes i have done so far (4 now) have all drove perfect right out of the garage, and never really changed much from mile 1 to mile 500, but this is the first time i have actually cleared the values, so am interested in seeing if it changes. More later!

Not gonna lie but I low key think 1.05 perf 91 is better than 2.0 So far. Obviously this is out of the gate comparing but I’ve done 250kms mixed and Can’t really see how 500miles of learning is gonna change all that much.

    What you guys think?

I think you should run your favorite tune, old or new
or personalize one you like with VF Tuner.
