A little mad. Why oh why did Toyota do this?

Got 4.88 couple of weeks ago and the new tune. I simply cannot believe this is the same vehicle. I just got done ripping (in a Taco) through local mountain roads and I simply cannot stop smiling.

    Mat, YOU ROCK!

haven’t hit the 500 miles yet but i took a few drives and i’m very impressed with how smooth tune is, especially off the line from a stop considering all the weight i have on the truck. i even floored it on a straight away which i never do and was also impressed with the 0-80mph (where i normally hit 0-118mph in my other car). all the extra fine tuning details of the tune with whatever mods you have definitely make this tune so much better than the 1.05

    i’m using the 2.0 regular/35s/5.29s tune (non-thx)

I run 80mph every day to work on a 24mi trip and I average like 15-16. Lucky!

Godzilla, at this point I am awaiting a new reg. key. But.. in regards to your statement about flash manger ver. I have flash manager 1.3.1, how do I update this to 1.3.0? I expected that any updates in flash manager would have updated the flash manager program also..?

“Boggy” is a great word for the 3rd gen stock electronic throttle

I’m gonna flash to non-Thx tune to see if it’s any different. 400+ miles in and I don’t see it magically changing in the last 100 miles. Again, if this was the first 2.0F I’d tested, I’d probably be stoked, but that last beta ran like a monster in my truck and I miss gear lock dearly. Just drove from SLC to Park City for an MTB ride and the 04B04 Premium Thx 33 wasn’t doing it for me.

I’ll run the non-Thx for a bit and if that’s still meh I’ll go back to the beta and deal with start hiccup, for me, that tune drove very well.

What don't you like about the 33 THX tune? I just started with that one.

When u check back in, lemme know how it works. I think imma try stock tire size. I think we're both having the same issue.

It bogs down in 1st at take off and is in a hurry to get to 6th it seems. Just doesn’t feel as sporty as the last beta I tested. It’s also missing gear lock and I can’t tell much of a difference when I use ETC+D. Previous beta went from great to Superman when ETC+D was used.

Again, this latest release is a good tune vs. stock. It just seems it’s not working as well for me and my truck as the last beta. The last beta was awesome aside from the start hiccup for me.

I don’t think it’s right to call it an “issue” with the latest release. It does a lot of things better than previous releases. The new tune is good and I bet a lot of people like it. I personally just enjoyed the last release more.

Does anyone know if the OVTune obd2 cable will work with Honda diagnostic software?

Yea, not in any hurry. Just thought I'd ck. I'm sure he's enjoying some well deserved family time for father's day weekend. Curious to see your dyno results :hattip:

    In progress.... And getting better!
Right? It’s pretty much how I have described the sensation or lack there of from the start. It’s what almost made me want to push my truck over a cliff prior to finding OVTune. Hearing how the THX active portion of the tune that we’re running is acting makes me think about going back to 2.0 beta or even 19800 until the final, final, finally final 2.0 final finally gets released. However the fact that each of these truck’s ECUs seem to react differently to each tune will inspire me to try the THX feature. We’ll see...

If Honda app uses J2534 protocol, you should be fine.
Ov tune is colored Tactrix cable...
