Thats what I have read on multiple occasions here, but after 500 miles I toggled the switch and call me crazy but i can for sure tell a difference. Gears seem to hold a little longer and throttle response seems to be higher at highway speeds. Who knows? Could just be some sort of placebo effect taking place but in my experience I can 100% feel a difference.

Ect works great for me. It’s been so long I don’t remember how it felt with stock tune. Definitely works as designed. Holds gears longer. Very fun!!

I believe ECT will legitimately switch maps on the final final. It will be “performance” mode. Right now, I think it just adjusts shift points?? It definitely does something.

I really want the ECT switch for Performance mode back also. When the last tune version came out i bought the Meso Customs Stealth Shift knob kit to utilize it for ovtune. Supposedly these features are coming back, but not sure. Definitely want a (Tow) mode also. I didn't plan on buying the VF version. Hopefully wont have to.

2nd this based on my reading and past experience...it's just the standard ECT extension (kinda like or just like how it is stock) where the performance map will be possible in the future.

Performance mode. I said it a while back all he did was remove gear lock. I'd bet that ECT + S mode is still Tow Mode as well. Just no gear lock.
He mentioned copying the shift tables over to S mode if he removed gear lock but I'm not sure if that happened.

What's final about this June 16th 2.0 AT release are the maps for the tunes.
Matt already mentioned that he pushed these out to calm down the impatient people that exist.
He will be finalizing any additional features plus the ability to edit these tunes on VF and release that update in the near future.
So use these now to get your truck to learn the new maps, and enjoy the added features and freedom to modify later.

I would imagine there is not a single person on this earth that actually knows the answer to that question.

He's being a smartass because of OVtunes old announcements back around that time about the target release date for a 2.0 being Christmas.

Should I buy a tactrix cable so i don't have to wait for the HH tunes? Is that possible? Not even worried about the cost, as i'll use it for other things (should have bought it originally...) i just want to make sure it will work.

A lot of people come here to learn and the reason they ask the same questions and are unwilling to dig through these pages or are dissuaded by the product is because of diluting commentary like this.

Yeah people are frustrated who've been waiting, but no need to continue toxicity... Not sure it actually helps anyone.

For the sake of loving these tacos....

ECT on the current 2.0 version acts OEM normal, changes shift points higher so it’s more peppy. Also good for towing.

it works well with the tune. :)
