I’m on 04A61 prem_thx_reg and my highway drive is just fine. Down shift from 6 to 5 is nearly stealth and I don’t realize I’m in 5th often. Monitoring with OBD fusion and TC lock/unlock monitored.

04A61 seems to be handling the tune real well. Hwy & city driving on mine is as good as it gets.

Nailed it this time. I think two tunes ago we (04A61) had the dreaded highway dead pedal, albeit Mat fixed that pretty quick.

Y'all are way more sensitive to your trucks than I am, I've fiddled with ECT multiple times and never really felt like it did anything at all.

If it’s working it is quite noticeable in the higher shift points. Maybe your button’s not connected? :)

It’s definitely noticeable. Revs way different and makes towing smooth

Yeah, I could never really tell if ECT was actually doing anything. I've always referred to it as the placebo button.

Anyone on 285/75r17’s with 04A61 and stock found the perfect tune yet? I’ve tried reg-35-thx, reg-33-thx, and prem-33-thx and so far it doesn’t seem to want to stay in 6th at ~70mph. I haven’t hit 500 on any of them because I’m impatient. I know I’ve got a regear in my future, just trying to hold out for a while longer. So if anyone is having a particularly good time with this ECU and in between tire size and stock gears let me know! Overall I’m loving the tune. Just trying to eek out some extra goodness and heading out on a big trip tomorrow.

Maybe try the non THX files? Seems like a fair few on here like them better. Also, it seems like the 500 miles really is important for the tune to settle down according to feedback on here.

I *think* that may be a feature and not a fault. Mine does the same thing. After a certain speed it'll just stay in 5th instead of doin the shift dance.

This is the best description of what I am experiencing as well. The down shift from 6 to 5 is occurring but that's what I expect. If I use just a slight push it stays in 6, but just a little more and it drops to 5 but if you're not paying attention you won't realize it. Stealth is a good word to describe it. My wife's Mercedes SUV shifts the same way, and I never thought I'd say my truck would shift like it, but now it finally does. The rolling hills in Kentucky and Tennessee vary in incline and now the truck is predictable in the way it responds to my driving/requests, both in city and highway driving.

So based on what I’ve shortly read, the 2.0 is available? I work many hours so trying to keep up with every post is a bit difficult. Thanks y’all

I am "04B04_Reg_Stock.p5f", my truck is stock, no mods, I can confirm Non-Thx does the same thing, when i am on cruise control at 75mph up a very slight incline, 04B04_Reg_Stock.p5f downshifts from 6th to 5th, then to 4th and screams along for 3 miles up this incline, prior tune downshifts 6th to 5th, but then effortlessly holds 5th all the way up the incline.

Are you the kind of guy that finds church pews comfortable? (not a religious comment)
with those tires, your final drive in 6th is likely similar to 5th... so you've basically got a 7th gear. I'd lock it in S5 unless you are going downhill.

Dammit. I stand corrected. I didn't see a reason to take it ALL out. Just made no sense to my non-tuning brain.
