    Thx = Enhanced Throttle Response

    Enhanced Throttle = Some throttle changes that makes the throttle more sensitive based on vehicle speed and requested Torque (accelerator, basically).
    Tip in is not modified between the two nor is the low speed range.

    500 mile review here.

    2017 04B04 stock, reg oct, stock tires W/thx.

    On the road I love this tune, but hit a trail today and had some issues. Was having issues with the pedal seeming heavy at times and when I gave it gas it seem to come alive all of a sudden causing me to slip the wheels (traction control would attempt to engage).

    I think I might have to give the non thx a try. Anyone dealing with this? I have always loved the tunes....as a tune I have to find out want fits my billet the best

    It’s gotta be that every truck is different. My best is 16mpg, I avg. 14.5. My brother’s 2019 with the same lift and tires gets 19-21mpg. I have just accepted it, there’s nothing we can do, unless we change/trade in our trucks. Just like with the tunes, all Tacoma’s are different.

    I think non thx is worse. All versions of this tune seem to have a fairly mushy / dead pedal, imo anyway. B04

    I went back to my beta 19770 last week and am very happy. If you have a favorite from the past, I suggest you load it and at least give it a try or a re-try! Right off the bat, (first trip out of the driveway) I felt the difference and smiled.
    In cruise control, my Rpms at 70mph are 1800 and go to 2000 going over an overpass. Like it should.

    Yep, I run 93 octane. No better mpg. At least it’s only $2.35/gal here.
    Even when I baby my truck, I only gain 1-2 mpg.

    From what I gather, the MT is totally worth it. Check out the MT specific thread. @tonered makes it seem like a dream come true!

    100% worth it. It fixes the weirdness with the stock tune and has significantly more low end power
