Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

for those not following the other thread.

 

I put $20 on fuel..

 

My surface pro also installed a bunch of updates and it changed the system ID. Submitted a ticket

 

Did those updates include the new windows 10 ver 2004? I’m hoping to get the final 2.0F flashed before I have to request a new reg file because of Microsoft shenanigans.

 

I believe it did.

 

Is it from auto updates? How do we turn that shit off?

That’s what I did day 1. Disabled updates and defender via the registry.

 

Yeah, that sucked but @Rafael@OVTune got me my new reg file in 4-5 days and that was over the July 4th weekend. I bet you get yours quicker. Just remember to move the reg file into your folder AND double click it to load into registry. I wasted 30 minutes because I forgot to click it

For those running 265/70/17
Are you running stock or 33 tune

 

Premium 33 4.88 non thx. I prefer this over thx.

 

245/75, but same diameter - running the tune for stock tire sizes and it works well so far.

 

Same size tires, stock gearing. I ran 2.0 Prem THX Stock tires first, then after about 250 miles I went to Prem THX 33 tires. Last night after about a 1000 miles I loaded the Prem 33 non THX file but haven't driven it yet.

 

I started on the 33 premium thx, drove about 4-500 miles, I didnt like the foot driving, or cruise control shifting on hills. seemed "touchy" and was hunting for gears a bit. switched to stock tire size, premium, non thx, have about 150 miles on it, seems a bit better, and i swear the pedal is more "enhanced" with the non thx tune. liking this one so far. have 265/70/17 toyo at3's SL rated. Ski

 

Has to go back to 2.0 19800 for 04B04. I was averaging 12 mpg and the pedal seemed dead....Hope somehow final

I know you guys keep making these jokes about final, final, final, final etc.
But just so you guys are aware, the only other versions coming are with gearlock and performance / Tow map switch.

If you want it to be more/less responsive you can use vF Tuner.

 

I’m good with that, gear lock was tits. I use to drop gears and disappear after getting the tuna without crust

 

I think the majority of us saying betafinal finalfinal etc are referring to just that, tunes w gearlock and performance. I get that u have to clarify for the sake of newcomers though.
