Oh. Well this is where you would really need to think about whats best for you. Wait or trade and never need to worry about towing issues.

Replying on my own message: Do I have to wait for OVTune to get back with me after sending the information in, or can I just go ahead and flash the truck? Since I'm using an already registered software. @PapaRee @wahoobie @mZiggy Thanks!

Thanks! Got this info when I did "identify" so went and grabbed the 04B80 zip from their 2.0 blog and will just flash one of those files.

    Calibration file: #####-04B80

You could always reload one of the previously released tunes with gearlock. I will probably do that since I really liked 19770 and the 2.0f with stumble start (other than the brief stumble when starting).

If I didn't have gears I would do that for sure. I don't think there was a 5.29 tune out there with gearlock at any point.

Well I installed my first and only tune about 6wks and 500 miles ago. Overall it's a different truck. Shifting is great with occasional 3-4 quick shift. Better low end power. Cold engine/trans surging is gone when backing up. With added power getting about 1mpg better overall which is a bonus. Extremely happy with this tune and no plans to even try others. Thanks @OVTune , Matt. :hattip:

What about tune files for those with dump tubes? I would really love to get rid of the CEL so that I can use cruise control. Right now I get a CEL for Bank 1, Bank 2 catalytic converter low efficiency. I have flashed 3 times already and the light comes on after 25 miles or so every time. Got a total of 3k miles on the 2.0 final all together. Submitted a ticked and asked in the forum several times with no response.

    Thanks for the update.

Unfortunately the people complaining are a very vocal minority and yes it is frustrating to wait but no one here but OV knows the hell you gotta go through to make sure that all possible files are compiled and tested.

Does everyone here want something done right or do you want something rushed out and done poorly? there is plenty of that to go around.

Unless something has changed you’re probably out of luck. He previously said that he would not be offering any tunes that defeat the emissions readiness of the stock ECU programming.

Just get some spark plug non-foulers and drill them out. Pull the O2 out of the air stream enough that it reads proper cat efficiency.

well, it said “successful” but I don’t think it worked. Drove it and felt the same. Not sure if the ECU is actually unlocked. I don’t know.... I’ll just wait to hear back from them.

    Which tune did you flash?
Did you reset LV / AT?
How much have you driven since flashing?

It's not about being rushed etc it's about communication. Communication is literally everything.

I wish I could get the last “beta” without the cranking issue. My truck ran GREAT with that tune, it was just annoying every time I started the thing.

I recently added 35’s and the sluggishness of low rpms and throttle response is even worse now. I need to regear soon.

Is everyone running thx or non? I’m on a 87octane thx tune currently, and can’t really tell a difference between the two...

You are running 35s on stock gears?

I don't even remember where I am now lol. Much like the stock tune, I gave up and just drove the MF.

I have 4.30’s...so it’s essentially the same as running 33’s with stock gears, not great but not terrible either. The 4.30’s and 33’s was equivalent to stock gearing and stock tires.

Anybody got the GL version of the 04B04 stumble start tune for 35s that came out circa mid May?
