    Yes sir, back in May, we had a discussion about it and at the time you didn't have anything for it since you'd need the physical ECU in front of you. Here it is again.

    Question time.
    How does one modify alternator maps on 2.0 P5f tune?
    I have agm and wanting to adjust charging voltage, am I just using/modifying example vft tune that came in the zip folder? If that’s the case then won’t the example tune be flashed and overwrite the 2.0 P5f that a I am currently using.
    Hopefully someone can clarify this, it’s Friday, coffee is not working and I am confused. Halp pls

    I didn't think you could modify p5 tunes in vft

    Does anyone have any old tunes I could try for a 2020 AT Tacoma that has a 04B80 ECU?

    I don't believe there were any. It's a new truck, new ECU. I think the first release to include 04B80 was the 2.0 Final release.

    I think there was one beta 2.0 but it had the short shift from 2-3rd. The latest is better.

    That is the saddest thing I've heard all week... :annoyed: Thanks for the information though. I would have been chasing my tail. Was there any 2.0 Beta's for the 04B80?

    Does anyone recall if sid_04B31_2.0_Prem_Beta5.29.p5f (the 2019 2.0 Beta that you can actually download from Flash Manager) had gear lock?

    Maybe... if it was a test file for a select group of beta testers?

    I have one named:
    04B80+2.0B+91++Octane.p5f
    I remember it shifted quick to 3rd.
    I don't think his code was used in adapt cruise in this one either.
    Can't recall if it had GL (thinking not).
    I feel the 2.0 final is better.

    I'm in NW Colorado (Meeker) and although I don't have a particular desire to try to set up a tuning service or anything, I am willing to help someone out. If you ever come up this way, we could try to figure out what's required to flash your truck. Is it just the $75 credit fee through VFTune for a new ECU? Or do we have to purchase the tune pack for that ECU too? (I've already purchased the upgrade from OVTune to VFTune which I believe includes the tune pack for my 2018).

    @OVTune

    I can zendesk about this if you prefer of course. I still have our email string regarding 4R stuff.

    Not going to be upset if you still do not yet have anything beta for the 2020's. I know it takes time and that you need the ECU in hand to get started on it.

    Sounds like a f@&K ton of work!!. Thanks @OVTune and @OVTune2 .

    I'm happy running the current 2.0 version, the truck was running pretty well after the dealer flashed me, and now even better with base 2.0. Maybe I'm in the minority willing to wait for what comes next.

    I bought a Tacoma because I wanted a Tacoma. Because of what it is overall! It's a great truck for what it is, and it has its limits, clearly, like all things mechanical.

    The fact that we can have access to a tuner/tune pack, and the expertise that goes with it is awesome in my opinion. Getting upset about delays is understandable, but I'm guessing most bought Taco's not even knowing a tune was an option. Maybe I'm wrong, but probably not. Many thousands of truck out there not running OVTUNE I'm sure.

    I never new @OVTune existed until I joined the forum and that a tune was even a possibility or a factor in improving the trucks. I didn't really understand what tuners were. I was thinkimg The Fast and the Furious. It's just a bonus and I'm happy so far with the first bonus. Perhaps a more stoic approach from those waiting for more may help ease their pain.

    There are things outside of our control, live with that fact, know it will come and until then try focusing on things you can control in your life and don't worry about the things outside of your control. THEY WILL HAPPEN WHEN THEY HAPPEN. Until then enjoy your truck. I am! Everyday!

    Peace
    Dan :crapstorm:

    I'm telling you...2.0 for the 04A61 is great. 3500+ miles and I get great 'smile-age' :D
    The 2018 is probably this best year for the 3Gen so far. The 04A61 appears to be the least troublesome after each tune. (least amount of issues from users)
