I believe there is a known software update issue with the last batch of dongles. You have to email @OVTune to get it corrected.

Figures, I’m finally ready to purchase and things are on hold. That’s the type of luck I have. However if the process is going to be more simplified then perhaps it’ll be worth the wait.

Okay experts. I have some questions. I've read most of this thread, but some of the info is conflicting. I'm a few more steps away from flashing, but want to get this cleared up first. Three things.

    1. When reading the ECU. This should be an easy answer. I need to read, save, and email two files; one for the engine (circled in red) and one for the automatic transmission (circled in blue).

    2. I see a possible option to just press the identification button and send a screenshot of the ECU calibration information that PCMFLASH generates instead of reading the files. Since I'm late to the party, OV probably already has the version for my ECU. This would save the time of reading the file. Can this be done for both the engine and the transmission? Or is it better just to spend the 40 minutes or so and read the entire file?

    3. Last one and this is where the conflicting info comes in. Do I need to flash twice; once for ECU and once for transmission? Reading I got the impression it's done all at once. But the instructions seem to say you need to flash twice - once for ECU and once for transmission.

He did say this was would be the final release but maybe I'm wrong,
Also being in socal where OVT is located I've never seen anything above 91 available so thinking the 91 tune will be all for now.

I'm sure there will be more updates down the road. He just has others tunes that people are waiting for. Manual trans, 4.0, 2.7 etc. He's a busy man and trying his hardest to keep up.

Where exactly is OVT located and does he respond to personal PMs or just here on the forum? I’ve tried sending him messages with questions to get no responses. I know he’s busy but just want to make sure I’m trying to communicate with him correctly so I can get some questions answered prior to purchasing

I believe it's on the website?

Edit: just looked, there is a "Contact Us" that pops up on bottom of page. I'm guessing that's it.

Anyone have this near Columbia, SC? I'd love to experience this before I pull the trigger.

He's said yesterday that he has a 16 hour flight to Hong Kong today. So that may affect how soon he replies to emails . . .

Edit: Looking back at his post he didn't exactly say traveling today, but he had indicated previously he would be out from the 21st thru the 29th.

And I hope folks are also realistic in the reality that email responses will be delayed (perhaps by a week..) since he’s saying he’s out of office.
