    Good luck with your flash:
Make sure to turn off Windows Defender - could cause big issues if it shuts you down mid-flash
With your stuff plugged into your computer and truck, turn on ignition but don't start the truck
Make sure you select the proper P5-Canbus from the dropdown up top in PCM flash
Identify first from your truck to ensure proper connection
Select the file you want to load / tune from the filed you downloaded
hit write and click OK from the couple of popups (checksum and battery voltage popups)
When it starts writing your truck will seem like it's falling apart from the things on your dash (low oil, no brakes, etc.,) - completely normal.
Make sure to turn off the ignition when the software tells you to - this ensures the process completes.

    Then start up and enjoy!

    Hello everyone.

I would like to post here for future reference I recommend anyone with a mac to use bootcamp, not VMWare. you can get issues with the USB if you do.

Also I have started sending out emails for dongle serial numbers (for people registering) so that we can move to the tuning part. Thanks

almost 3AM HK time so gotta sleep.

    thank you everyone

Can anyone confirm that the tune solves the hard downshift that I experience when my truck downshifts from 4th to 3rd coming to a stop?

I wouldn't say it "solves" it. It is less pronounced because the shifts are smoother and faster so it's not annoying me now if that helps.

I second this. It does not happen as often with the tune. But it certainly still does occur.

yeah for me, the tune has gotten my truck down to the point where anything I could comment about negatively really starts to get into more nitpicky sort of things that would be "nice" to see addressed, but all of the major concerns I had with how my truck drives are pretty much gone.

I'm a Millionaire! One Million Posts!!
I have about 300 miles on 1.02C_Shift-A (91). The past few days I've been marveling at how much better the truck feels and drives. But I have noticed two or three times when coming out of a slow right turn that it seems like the transmission is not in gear, and then all of a sudden it catches. I've seen a few comments by others regarding this, but of course I can't find the posts now. A little more concerning however... Today when leaving my office I backed out of my parking spot and everything seemed normal. I proceeded slowly (barely giving gas) around the building and then let off the gas and idled to the street (took maybe 3 seconds of idling). Giving it some gas when entering the street the engine rev'd up but it was like the transmission wasn't in gear. I let off the throttle and tried again and then it "caught" and the truck moved forward. Then the shift from 1st to 2nd seemed a bit odd. Only after about 5 minutes of driving did I start to feel that things were "normal".

Interesting. I felt some weirdness with 1st on shiftA but nothing like you describe. Perhaps try ShiftC - I’m enjoying it so far

I'd be happy to get ANY FUKN VERSION at this point. Next week makes 2 months since
I paid, way too long to wait for something you forked out almost a grand for with nothing to show for it.

Yeah man I get you, sometimes us early adopters forget there are ppl who haven't felt the goodness yet.

To atone for my transgressions, I'll load up the OEM tune.

    Actually, no I wont.

Hell, I haven't gotten to the point of registering PCMflash to even read the
ECU yet. We'll see what the next week brings...

Yea we’ll you both are way ahead of me. I can’t even order the damn thing.
I’m not doing the bench flash especially with the holidays coming up.
I’m waiting...I don’t like it because I’m an impatient fuck but I’ll wait.
Before anyone takes a poo on me I’m completely aware that @OVTune is a cool dude and has done more for than community than most.

I wish I could drive someone's truck before doing this. Any TW member with the tune near Columbia, SC want to meet up for a beer?

Been running 1.02C-C Map for a few days now. Truck is performing pretty darn good . I have seen a slight loss in mpg though , so hopefully that comes back up....i wanted to say that shortly after getting the tune i pulled the ShiftSense Pro out of the truck and haven't thought of it once.

I don't know that anyone will take you up on that, but I understand that a $800 leap of faith is a hard pill to swallow.

If you are unhappy with the way your truck drives (power delivery, shifting mess, mushy throttle and all around weirdness), this is the product for you. If you're in it just for power, well, there's a nice bump but it's not earth shattering.

I hate to say it, but you're probably gonna have to research the hell out of the reviews in the development and auto trans threads , and make the decision based on that information.

    Pssst... DO IT. :)

After nearly a week, mine does seem to be coming back up a bit. Still seems odd to me that stock 1st and 6th delivers lower MPGs than a more aggressive 1/6 (ShiftA) but I'm not the expert and perhaps it will continue to level out as Mat indicated.
