The hypervisor will be the thing responsible for emulating the CPU so as long as your hypervisor runs on the new macbook you should be good to go.

I bought the VF key for 80 bucks recently since I already had the flash kit from before, but do I have to also buy the tune kit/files to actually edit the latest tunes, or do I edit the ones I have already flashed before?

If I do have to buy them, I'm not sure why I paid so little for the upgrade but still have to get all the tunes for way more.

 

Nope. If you are an OG Flash Kit person, you get a Master Key and a Tune Pack for either $79 or free depending if you are dongeless or dongle trade-in.

 

Awesome! Now how do I go about downloading vf tuner and getting the tunes that I can edit? I went through all the faqs and first page and am not seeing it. I'm pretty tech savvy but the whole process is a bit convoluted.

 

The vF download is on the OVT homepage. Yellow button.

For the Tune Pack, you need to send a message to OVT about what ECU ID that you want.

 

Go to https://www.ovtuned.com/, scroll halfway down and hit the orange download button. Then send a request to the zen desk for your tune pack.

Ps. Windows defender will try to block the download and the install. Just choose “keep anyway”. Choose “more info” when downloading and then choose “allow”.

So when I shoot him the request, I will get all the editable tunes only for my current ecu id? I guess I'll have to request more if my ecu id changes down the road. Thanks man.

@OVTune i sent a email for tunes for 04b91 a few weeks back and told support was needed for my ecu. is that pending email or do i need to do more? thanks

If you read my post youd know that the tunes arent out until this weekend so there wont be anything in my spam folder. was seeing if i needed to do anything to make sure id get my tunes as soon as they come out this weekend.
