Did you label the dongle with your name, order # etc? Also, did you check your spam folder......a lot of emails have been going there. Just a few things that people have had slow them up in the past.

 

Anyone know who to watch for an email from after sending the system ID? Or roughly how long that usually takes? I can't tune yet without it right?

 

Ovtune is the email you are looking for, be sure to check your spam folder.

 

Yup been checking spam etc. I have gotten all the others so it must just not be ready yet. Wish this was a bit more automated for all parties involved but oh well. Any insight on my other questions?

This is after @OVTune sent me my new system ID due to a faulty equipment with first laptop. It’s like the vf tune don’t recognize my login or master key paired with this new system id. I’ve read my ecu and on a 04B04. So that’s working just don’t have my 3.5 tune packs or it paired up with everything.

 

I believe he has to reset you activation

if you just need to flash a tune you can launch the vF flash tool found in the folder
c:\program files (x86)\vF tuner

assuming your reg key is good it’ll launch like normal. You just won’t be able to use vF to edit / create / modify until the activation is fixed

What are you trying to do?

if you are trying to flash your truck, you need to open the flash tool, click flash it, then select the file.

I found where you are talking about. Think I’m gonna try and flash @PapaRee m&w tune tomorrow while I wait for ovtune to unlock me.

Did you try uninstalling vF and reinstalling? Then enter the key and id again?

This doesn't work for me, all still grayed out. How do you validate the reg key when you go directly into Vf Flash tool?

 

your waiting till ovtune emails you a link. It will be your system ID made into a attachment. Did you send him your system ID?

Yes, waiting for a new key. All was working fine, until my system ID changed because of windows update. Schellshock was talking about doing a load with out a good master key but good registration key that I have, that doesn't change.

 

When you launch the vF flash tool, that’ll show your system ID. Compare that to the original key you requested.

if the system id is different from the reg key, you need to request a new reg key.
