Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Come on UPS the OVtune package is tiny probably weighs less than a pound. What do they do with them that would damage them? Now that big heavy steel and aluminum lock box is a different story. Any idea if we can get another one sent out?

I’ve had a couple things run over by a truck. A nice fridge slide that was folded in half..

And a replacement AirPod that was crushed

 

UPS is the worst you could possibly use to ship stuff to Canada. They screw us over every time.

 

Sadly, this is true. Apple sends everything using it and I wish they wouldn't. Their stuff even ships from within Canada and the best experience I have is a neutral one. I have had them not even try to deliver, not even leave a door tag and as a result had things return to sender...

Ups delivered the hole neighborhood to one house yesterday! Are neighbor said he felt like Santa Taking everyone there packages. The bed of his f150 was full!

Looking forward to this! Spent $2.4k on 8 tune packs before the sale [was supposed to] end to get the new 2021 and ongoing tune packs. Plus, waiting on 2 tune packs prior to that... Sent an email to @OVTune looking forward to what kind of discount this counts for? Lol

 

All communications have been with the same email the order was placed and invoice sent to...

 

So I think I’m missing something. I bought the VF Tuner on Sunday. I got the email confirmation that says: “Note, if you purchase the SOFTWARE ONLY Package, this is an electronic download (through our instructions). So you can immediately download the software after purchase.” I scroll down to only find the Instructions attached, which start by saying “After Downloading...” (from where?). Then I go to the FAQ on the site that says
“I just purchased the VF tuner. Now what do I do?
Please follow the instruction and send us the system ID.
You would need the registry key and the master key to process.”

I can only assume at this point I’m supposed to be waiting for another email with a download link? @OVTune

@OVTune hi, I know you are busy, so for what it’s worth I am sorry but I bought VFtuner last Friday as a discount as a $600+ OVTune purchaser from a year ago. I was on the fence but I didn’t have any access to flash manager files at all so I couldn’t (and still can’t) get my truck out of a premium sfob beta tune and into something better. In the process of troubleshooting why FM wasn’t downloading the p5f files weren’t able to be downloaded in FM I reinstalled different versions of OVT and ultimately overwrote the flash files I had stored on my PC.... so look I just need my serial for VF and the tune pack so I can get on with it. Emailed zendesk still no response. Same email Address for vf purchase as I used for OVTunes purchase. Thanks.

also, I know I should have saved the p5f files I needed in two spots.. but why render FM p5f files inaccessible? I have since found that they were pulled and the hours I spent troubleshooting were pointless..

 

As a 35 year employee of UPS, I’m saddened to hear about delays/ damages etc...... I know we’ve hired over 100,000 seasonal employees to deliver packages. Like FedEx and USPS we are handling 4 times the number of packages due to COVID/ Christmas..... It is a madhouse where I work.....

 

I've never trusted UPS much after they stole my Tavor SAR I'd sent out for some work. and then made the armorer cover over half the cost of replacement

 

Yep, that's when I'd be done with them as well.
Bullpups are too nice!

 

My usual UPS driver is pretty good, never have a problem with him

 

I have VFtuner downloaded, I have my master serial number. To use my credits for a tune pack to I need to copy all my system info and send off to OVTune to reply with a bin file? Or can I access the tune pack I want (04b14) without emailing? I should add I already have my registry file from having OVTune previously.
