I just want to be sure our tune is still better than the OEM, which I am quite certain it is, but a few people said stock 04B33 is so good so amazing etc

 

Is it available in 04B04? Asking for a friend.

 

Yeah, 04B04 has been released for months. No ECU has the performance files yet

 

Yeah...I was hoping to get/see what Toyota has been upgrading in the 2021 factory tunes since the 2016 tunes. Just curious but NOT that curious to spend $75 on 4 more credits.

Not with flash kits yet, but with Techstream it's possible.

 

Lol stock tune amazing? I mean maybe for 100 miles it felt decent after my TSB, but anything after that it went to shit real quick. Your tunes put any stock tunes or TSB’s to shame. To be honest I'm kind of surprised toyota hasn't reached out to you about collaborating on their tunes. At this point there is a overwhelming amount of people that are absolutely blown away by them.

 

For 2019 04B31 folks, are dealers applying the TSB update to 04B33 when you go in for service? Are they the TSB updates available at dealer yet?

if you can flash your truck with ov tune stuff, you have the skill to use the ov tune tactrix cable/adapter, and the techstream software we have available to us, on this forum. there are several guys on here, that have made it really easy for us to do this, without going to the dealer. @Shellshock, @tonered, and several others have done most of the leg work for this. Just seeing this, sent you a message and updated email request 22677. Please disregard my original email request for tune pack 04B31 and only send tune pack for 04B33. I have a 2019 and I will be upgrading my TSB from ecu 04B3 to 04B33.

Well I went ahead and updated to 04b33 last night just to give it a test run before using the 04b33 tune. Want to run the stock for a tank of fuel at least but there’s no doubt at all it’s a drastic improvement.

Before I ever knew about ovtune when I purchased my 2019, the throttle at stop to get moving was horrid. You press the gas pedal and I could never put it words correctly but basically the first 1-5% of the pedal was kind of weak. Once you reached a certain amount of throttle it finally pulled.

The other part that was way worse was the shifting. This truck would just dance around gears and never learned how to shift properly. You’d go up let’s say a 5 degree incline for 1 mile doing 30-35mph and this truck wanted to get into 6th gear so badly so it would upshift. Then within a second would downshift and shortly after upshift again and repeat the process until some acceleration happened.

Anyway the new ovtune fixed this. Pedal was good, shifting was great and the performance tune would set ya back in your seat. However, it was still riddled with bugs until 2.0 final base version was released.

The drive to work was absolutely noticeable difference and I think Toyota did good this time. I’ll still run the new tune when it comes out but had my truck ran like this from day one from factory there’s no way I’d have ever even went looking to make tune changes to the truck.

Anyway, while I run the stock tune after tsb update for a bit maybe it’ll give me enough time to figure out vftuner and get the tune pack. Sent an email last week or this last weekend and no reply yet so assume he’s still backed up a bit.

 

So no tune packs til January 4th for 04b33? No big deal but if I know this now I’ll just wait til then to send request. Thanks.
