Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Last I checked they couldn't be downloaded any longer. Not sure if that's been changed back.

You guys are getting wound up over each other with the developer possibly reading and eating popcorn. If you want the old tunes, ask for them. Either ask the developer or ask another member of tw. I can’t remember how many times I’ve received a prior tune before just to try out because it was available. Now my truck is untuned since updating the tsb. I have zero tune at all even as an option as there were never any 04b33 betas and I haven’t received the tune pack.

With all this mentioned, I’m in no rush whatsoever. I’ve owned the flash kit for a while and to this day, there hasn’t been a performance tune for 2019 Tacoma’s yet that functioned properly. Not blaming anyone it just is what it is. For the folks griping, I honestly believe you have a legitimate complaint but if you’re a 2016-2018 owner there have been fully functioning tunes for those trucks for quite some time. You just may not have the latest and greatest. 2019+ owners are, in my opinion, the only ones who have a leg to stand on for a complaint. If you’re a 2019 owner and bought flash kit you’ve never received a performance tune that works without large flaws. I can’t speak for the 2020+ but that’s when vftuner rolled out ‘I think’. Those guys would likely have some extended wait time as well. Do they have tune packs for all the newest ecus? No clue and that’s a question for the developer.

I doubt anyone will get far until January 4th though and despite anyone’s complaints ovtune is only going to release things as they have them done and ready. He’s been quite blunt and obvious about that. Do I agree with how he runs his business? Not exactly but we’re all at his mercy. He’s the only person doing this for our trucks and griping all the time won’t accomplish anything extra.

Want progress? Payment stops going to the product. I’m not saying do that nor am I implying ask for a refund. I truly want the tune for my truck and am willing to wait. It’s your decision if you choose to wait or gripe to fellow tw members. Or gripe. That’s another option but unfortunately won’t get you what you want any faster either. My only suggestion is be patient as hard as it is sometimes for some folks. No company can ever sell a product, digital or physical, and not deliver. It’s guaranteed you could get money back so don’t sweat it. Just be patient and it’ll come.

I work in a business where 98% are happy, 2% complain
and the 2% create 98% of the work (exaggerated of course but you get my point)
Same thing happening here, same 2%

I honestly should just let it go, since no amount of grease ever stops the squeak, nor do I have any vested interest here

Depends on the squeak I guess. Is the squeak a full disassembly / rebuild of a component, or is it half a pump of grease? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

thanks. This mongoose pro cable is the one my friend uses every day and he’s a Toyota tech. We had it hooked to my truck last night to see what’s what and tweak some factory settings etc.

I don't understand how you keep saying 2019+ vehicles have a complaint. They have the same tunes as everyone else.

Don't blame me for Toyota putting out new ECU versions every few months to fix THEIR problems.

The tunes haven't been beta for like 6+ months.






and I want to make one thing absolutely clear : If you have your ECU updated by Toyota, for any reason, and we do not have a tune ready for it. Blaming us for not having a tune ready for a new ECU just because you updated is ridiculous and unfair.










Everyone, from 04B00 to 04C20 2016 to 2021 ALL have the same 2.0 tunes.



And yes, business is closed until January 3rd. My bad for wanting to have a little time with my family after such a terrible freaking year.

It says right on the FRONT of my website we are closed. If you order right now and are getting mad you can't download the software, aren't getting a master key, registration etc.... read the front of our website.
