Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Well. I think his issue wasn't tuning related.

I have been surprised how well the situation has been so far.

so has anyone tried out the 04B33 Ovtunes yet? got any feedback, working out well?

 

Still haven’t received the tune pack yet to try. I requested the day or day after he mentioned it was available. Whenever I get it I’ll flash the tune and see how it feels before bothering learning how to adjust things.

 

can you double check your spam? because I've sent to every email I can find requesting it

 

Since we are talking about the tune packs I'm waiting for the 4runner's and double checked spam folder multiple times a day just in case but there's nothing yet

 

@OVTune I'm still waiting on vFtuner credits within vftuner. zendesk #23090 i requested them from within vftuner as instructed. paid for them 12/23, but still shows 1 credit available.

 

Im still waiting for the 4Runner tune pack as well, ordered 30 November.

regarding 4Runner tune packs I'm still working on sending a few of those.

I think his post meant he still needs to catch up on sending out the open orders on 4Runner tune packs. They exist, he's just not caught up on the orders. That's how I interpret it anyways.

Yep. And at the moment a ton of people have updated to the latest ECU TSBs and we are grinding out emails.

When vF Tuner 1.3 releases, it will all be automated. Tune packs, no more reg keys, etc all through vF tuners new flash downloader.

But until then we have to grind through emails the hard way, mainly due to file piracy.

Just to clear out, only Tacoma have ECU update to every year model on 3rd gen right? or does the 4runner have those update too?

I've looked at and joined the vFT.com site. I've been looking for simple explanations/definitions and uses for all of the MAPS, and the relationships between like-categorized MAPS (Shifting - Primary - 1 - infinity, Acceleration up-shift, ...downshift..., and on and on) to no significant degree of success. They probably exist, somewhere, so point me there, please. Sure I could post this on vFT.com but figured I'd soil this thread with a request and then proceed to Mat's new crib for further clarification. ??? Other than Mat has anyone used ALL the MAPS provided, or are many just an ECU task that are like wall paper - nice to look at but not applicable for altering?
