Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

does anyone know what the actual hp and torque increase is with 2.0 reg or premium?
i remember with 1.05 it was pretty significant, but i also dont know what our baseline was stock.

@OVTune are you still offering a discount for the vftuner for the people who have flash kit? I don't see the link on the OP anymore, I was on the fence about getting it but figure what the hell lets try it out..

After tuning do yall trucks ever use or hold 6th gear. If I even get into 6th it almost immediately downshifts to 5

I did a video on youtube of a dyno. Stock tune to ovtune premium. If ur comparing ovtunes regular fuel, the most he managed from my last time reading was 50 ft lbs of lower end torque. No horsepower gains or anything else.

We are preparing a very big update to vF Tuner, our server, and other things this week.

During this time there may be some time when our server is offline (so you wont be able to purchase *new* credits) you'll be able to spend current credits that you have.

vF tuner process - Detailed instructions below

• Purchase vF tuner
• Receive master key
• Install vF Tuner Software and tactrix drivers
  • Activate vF Tuner with master key
• Find System ID in vF Flash tool
  • Email System ID to SUPPORT@OVTUNE.ZENDESK.COM
• Receive registry key
• Install registry key
• Identity ECU
  • Check to see if there is a new ECU for your Model Year
  • If so - update using techstream
• Request tune pack (if purchased)
  • Send request to SUPPORT@OVTUNE.ZENDESK.COM
  • Specify which ECU you’d like to receive
• Receive tune pack

 

Thanks for the info. I'm on the Request Tune Pack step... wish the instructions were clearer on the OVtune instructions.
