Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

The issue is not the drivers nor the software. Something is interfering with the communication. Do you have an aftermarket head unit that communicates or receives info over CAN / OBD

 

I do have a Pioneeer AVH-2440NEX HU.

 

No need to uninstall anything. I would try these things, and attempt to flash after each step:

1. Check all connections
   1. USB to computer
   2. USB to Tactrix
   3. Tactrix to OBD
   4. Possibly new USB port on computer
   5. Possibly new USB cable
2. Update drivers in vF
3. Install older version of vF

Edit, I see you have a different headunit. You happen to swap that out after your last tune in November?

 

That's the problem. You have to disconnect it.

 

Ok. It was in there when I last flashed it but I'll try it. Digging into dash...

 

Ok, it was not the radio but I did get it to work. After you mentioned the radio, I remembered that I also installed a maestro data link. I disconnected that and that did the trick.

You should be able to disable maestro odb2 communication from the headunit. I’ve gotta do that on my kenwood

 

I'll keep that in mind next time. Now 8 get to try the premium map. Hope it will help with hauling my toy trailer.

No. There was a recent post by @OVTune that said it will be a while.

 

Dang, probably shouldn't have upgraded my TSB before asking for the files.

 

Contact Mat's customer service and let him know what TSB you're on, he'll get you the correct ones.

 

It is always good to feel out Stock. I did it while waiting on the 04B14 TP.

Gentlemen, someone wants to sell & send me a tune pack that he has already downloaded & paid for.

Is that something you’re able to do? Genuine question because I know people were illegally tuning awhile back.
