Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

With the vF / Tactrix adapter and the step by step info in the 1st Post of that thread, you'll be easily flashed up to 04B91.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that OVT is done with full Taco tunes, esp with the Tundra dropping soon.

 

Okay, refreshed 2.0 with reg/stock/thx , which I'm 90% sure is what I flashed last year.. but.. just to be safe.

Now, to reach out, with sales order number, etc, and see what I need to do to update the software for the new tunes.

I'd love if someone would come up with a tune using these shift files, but, fueling for the magnuson... wife has taken note that the lung is available

This version will be supported in vF Tuner soon.

Hey guys late to the party, So I still have the orange thing that I got from OV TUNE like 2-3 years ago. MY ECU is 04B04 - AT. I tuned my truck as soon as I got OV TUNE to like 1.02 i believe. but its been a while and now I got 5.29 gears and 34s. Can anyone tell me if I can reflash and to what. I remember a year or so ago that OV TUNE sent out new files to retune based on specifics but I think I lost the link. Ive tried emailing OV TUNE. Can any one tell me if those files are still available and if that will help my truck from stopping at 82 MPH.

Those files are no longer available. As long as you have a recent message in, you should be queued up for the free Flash Manger Replacement program and new tune files.

If you send in a support message for your current situation, esp if you used the email address that you originally ordered with, then that should be enough to get the wheels turning.


Your OVT / Tactrix adapter is still good to go.

I am using the full vF software. View and edit tunes.

The Flash Manager Replacement (FMR) is not out yet, as you can see from @OVTune 's post quote above. I think he said that there were over 1,000 folks to process.

@Yamota1617 This may be a totally moot point here very soon with the Flash Manager Replacement dropping soon, but if your Flash Manager still happens to be in a working state (open it and make sure the buttons are not grayed out, and System ID matches the REG key you were sent) - then I do still have the .P5F versions of 04B04 for 2.0 final including the 5.29 tunes for 33” and 35” tires. If your FM works, you’d be able to flash those currently.



Since you already own the Flash Kit and have Flash Manager I think I could PM one of the 04B04 5.29 tunes over without breaking any licensing rules since they were publicly available on the site before the full move to VFTuner.

I’m still crossing my fingers for this weekend, but if not, hit me up and I can upload the 33” or 35” 5.29 file (no 34” but either of those would work, they’re minor shift point adjustments for tire size).
