I would imagine there are over 1,000 of us. And if anyone’s still around here checking for updates and paying attention and would like their 2.0 tunes we already purchased, that’s probably another 1,000+ emails to respond to again for the correct format tune packs, it would seem.

It may not be a big deal as many if not all all already running 2.0 as-is and there aren’t any real changes other than format until the next 2.0 ultimate comes out, that will surely be in .VFC format anyway. But for those wanting to change octanes, or gears. Yeah, stuck in the mud until we can get .VFC files for existing 2.0 tunes.

Personally I went from 2.0 base to a community developed performance tune and I’m quite happy with it, but it would still be great to have options and the tunes we already purchased. 2.0 was releasing when I was purchasing my OVTune Flash Kit and it was moved to vF some months later, so that $699 was going directly to those 2.0 tunes plus hardware and flash software.

I’m sure it’ll get sorted, but it can/will take some time. Unless there’s a handy AWS link to the 2.0 locked files in .VFC format, but of course it can’t really be publicly listed else folks would just skip ordering a tune pack if they were freely available. The original 2.0 ones were like this but in .P5F format for anyone to download for their kit. Of course, you had to have the kit already purchased to flash so it was no big deal.

Edit: Or just allow vF Tuner “lite” to convert files and give everyone the .VFT’s. That wouldn’t be so bad either. But must be tied to the same functions that allow editing, even if it’s just converting file types. Would be some more software dev work no doubt.

You might want to update the first post with this information in big bold letters right at the top.

This thread will soon be updated (main post, last post) and then locked so that the posts won't get lost.

Also, I want to announce here that we are trying to close and open ended stuff. Finish/ finalize.

For Wi-Flash pre order customers. You guys will be receiving refunds on those pre orders. The Actual Units are finished, the software is finished. They are ready to go. But the problem is we cannot get the PCB's made. The CAN Tranceivers are 50 + weeks out. I have talked to many vendors / suppliers and different PCB companies. No one can get them.

So you will be receiving full refunds on those orders, but will keep the credits that were given with them.

For those of you who are in the know, is the 1.2.9.9.9 version of the vF ECU Flasher utility not physically capable to flashing .vft files, or does it just limit you from viewing/selecting them through the "Select Calibration File" window?

I found a simple workaround (no hacking or anything sketchy) that allowed me to flash a .vft file using the 1.2.9.9.9 "Lite" version of vF Tuner. I'm not sure that this workaround is safe or sanctioned, so I am hesitant to share it. However, if this workaround is safe, and can help avoid 1000+ tickets for the vF Tuner guys, I'll share it.

I would guess that @OVTune would not want that info released? Although, I would bet that you inbox is about to get very filled.

Yea, that's why I didn't post the details... I'm now second guessing my teaser post and may delete it.

I could see that being helpful for those that do have the packs in .VFT format. But mine aren’t even that, lol. Mine is from the official 2.0 release right from the OVTune site. Meaning they are .p5f and I assume not VF compatible at all.

Hopefully there will be some further communication on this on the VF forums. See y’all over there!

Yep @BrettsMac08, again, you and I are in the same boat. All of my 2.0 tune files are in the .p5f format, and even the stock tune files for the 04B04 ECU are only in the .p5f and .vft formats. I was looking for a workaround to make sure that I could get back to a stock tune before trying out a 3rd party community tune.

Of course, now that I'm back to stock, I can't flash 2.0 base... I'm sure this will all work out in time, I just really wanted to get to a tune that leverages my gear/tire before a road trip next week.

At least you already recieved your your License. I am still waiting for my License so that I could upgrade and also flash my truck with a performance tune. I upgraded to 5.29 gears Oct of last year and still trying to flash my truck. Very frustrating.
