So after a few hundred miles on 1.02C-A it started feeling laggy again. Flashed to 1.02C-C and the throttle response is back to its crispness. Curious to test MPG diff. I hope Matt can eliminate this "Learning" crap.

once we have our truck for R&D and some serious testing into the transmission (where I can go through 20-30 different files in a day testing and logging params) I have zero doubts I will get around it.

Right now we are at the point of carefully deciding between off road or pro version of the truck.

Any reason you aren’t getting an SR5 with auto to save money? If you are just doing this for the engine and the computer, why do you need a more expensive trim?

Don’t waste your time on the Pro. SoCal dealers charge a fortune for the Pro and NorCal dealers aren’t very far behind.
With that said I’d go for the off-road since that’s what the majority of your customer base that has crawl control has.
While I am a fan of the Pro the logical choice would be a regular off-road.

@OVTune do the hp/torque values remain constant over time even when the transmission begins learning again?

Although a temporary solution, would it be possible to fool the truck into thinking it was in S-mode w/ 6th gear high selected as a default to prevent the transmission torque AI?

I'd say go for the Offroad. It's a better value and without the lift more representative of the ride of the brand as a whole. The pro is a lot of attitude and flash... The only flash I need is yours! - your future customer

So instead of purchasing a cheap windows laptop to flash my truck, I’m thinking running Windows’s 10 via bootcamp on my Mac.
My question is this, Has anyone had any issues with running the software needed?
(The software OVTune sends us to flash our trucks)
I realize I can buy a cheap latptop but I can grab an OEM copy of WIN 10 for $99 which is even cheaper.

If I purchase this how often do I have to reflash it to keep it ahead of the computer learning curve, or will I know when the truck begins to regress back to it's former state?

In my opinion it’s pretty obvious when it starts to go back to bad habits.

I reflashed at about the 700 mile mark. I would say it started reverting back around the 500 mile mark.

It doesn’t really bother me as I wanted to try a different map anyways. Also, Mat has made it fairly clear that he is virtually 100% confident that he will be able to get around the re-learning as he continues to develop the tune (which are included with the purchase of the kit).

It drives so much better post-flash that the 5 minutes it took to do it is but a very minor inconvenience.

Having to reflash every 500 miles. Too funny!

Even though some member are posting this, it is not endorsed by us and we do not recommend it.

As I mentioned before there is still the torque learning curve in the ECU that adapts to your driving, continuously.

If you want the car to move out of the state of quickly and softly shifting or "old habits" you have to tell the ECU that is what you want to do. By not driving this way.
