Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

@OVTune curious whether you can spill any details on the MY18 ECU you’ve been using. Are they still coming with the 03 calibration on the ATs or have they updated it with some stock improvements?

 

@OVTune order #2141 here...no notifications or anything and I checked the spam folder. I'm not too worried about it, it will get here when it gets here, just more an FYI so you know the notifications still need some work.

More people should be getting their tracking numbers, been sending out those automated emails again.

I'll wait on any last pre-orders until the end of the week. Then we are back to having kits live (in stock).

 

This is probably a dumb question but do I have to reload the tune after changing the battery or does that just erase the learning?

No you wouldn't need to reload the tune.

 

When updates are available, how do we go about getting them? Will it just appear in our inbox?

 

Yes it will. He will send you an email with the update and instructions.

 

When will this tune be 100% completed?

 

Probably never.

 

This is great! I have been signed up for UPS and Fedex for a while but didn’t know USPS offered a similar service, looks like it’s been on the way since yesterday thanks man!

 

I would say any of our standard, major releases are completed tunes.

But I plan to keep this truck for at least 5 years, and will be developing on it the entirety of the time.
A lot of the major hurdles are already done.

What I would say is that from this point the tune will just have different "flavors"...we've already made the ice cream. (once learning is fully cracked)

 

I wasn't saying never like its a negative thing. Just meaning that you'll (hopefully) be tweaking and changing things over time as you see fit, and updating the tune to tailor to your customer's needs. This is a great thing.

 

Yeah i agree, i was just trolling. I my self cant wait to get the tune but its sold out every single time i go to try to buy it.

 

Hey everyone. If you preordered and received your invoice, we will hold it until this Friday, for payment. You'e welcome to pay after, but we may not have a kit reserved for you ready to go, depends on how many people were waiting for the 15th.



In other news our development truck will be on the dyno Jan 3rd for some 1.03 goodies.

 

Can't wait! But we are taking the truck out of town for a couple weeks.
