You can’t feel the difference between the ovtuned flash and the stock flash?

Yes. When pulling my Travel Trailer especially from a stop. The tune down low in the rpm band feels exactly the same as stock imo.

Man some of these posts now are making me put my wallet away on this one and book it to ECGS for some 4.88s instead. Also, I really wish this whole tune thing could be as simple as Cobb does with their Accessport for Subaru’s and such. That is the slickest plug and play tuning system I think I’ve ever seen and would be so easy to make a system like that for these trucks. No need to send emails back and forth or anything like that, plus you get all the cool extra features of monitoring nearly anything the OBDII port can spit out. Married to a single care at a time so you can’t “share” tunes if that’s what the whole multistep process is for the OVTune is trying to prevent. To top it off, it’s cheaper than this OVTune setup. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr....

4.88 will help with the 4/5/6 shifting dance, but not with the throttle and fucked up ignition (or the fucked up general shifting logic)...it really needs both.

I know it needs both, but there has to be a MUCH better way to do this tuning thing, like the Cobb Accessport. Don’t need a specific windows computer, no sending stuff back and forth. And you aren’t left with a tune you can’t sell and such. Hopes for the future!!!

I have had the 1.02a 87 octane tune for over 5000 miles now. It is an improvement for sure. I am looking looking forward to the improvements of 1.03 and I am hoping Matt will have an option for speedo adjustments for different tire sizes as I sit here waiting for FedEx to deliver my new 255/85/16’s....

Accessport and Accesstuner race is precisely what I use to tune my big turbo Speed 3. Its comparing apple to oranges though.

I'll have more emails out tonight and updates for people waiting for files.

I understand the current tune process is not the most efficient...but lets be a little realistic. Cobb has an entire fleet of engineers and multi-million dollar budgets. This stuff is a lot harder to do than most people think.

Cobbs first product was far from the V3 people know today.

You’re right and I get that. On top of that, these trucks have real issues that need fixed, not just adding horsepower and torque.
