Yep kind of what I'm thinking too for ours. It tows decent now but could stand a little more help for those longer trips.

Same here. It pulls but these Colorado mountains sometimes have me wrapping out the rpms to get over the passes. Itll be nice to have that extra turning power.

100hp from tune? Doesn't sound real. But I am aware of a tune and bolt on to do so on s models. Just smaller pulley for supercharger and then tune. Cost around $1300

So are all of the driveability issues resolved with the tune then? The extra power and torque is great but I want a smoother daily driver more than anything.

Also did you clean the maf like suggested before this testing?

Modern turbo motors can unlock that pretty easily with computer controlled turbos. I had an ex-girlfriend had a Turbo S beetle. It went from 150 WHP/TQ to 270WHP and 320WTQ with just a tune. The Germans leave a lot on the table in turbo cars it seems.

Don't understand why they say that. Audi and vw use vcds which can't read of the ecu is different.

Well I mean there is but I highly doubt their techs know how. It took me 4 month and hours talking to Ross Tech to figure it out how to. And all they would be able to see is the things changed but they'd need to compare that to a stock one and see it. The level of adaptions you need to go through is heavy. Most techs only know how to press auto scan on vcds and that's it lol. Trust me I've fought with VW a lot with this. Even helped Audi techs working on their own cars.

@OVTune when you release the tune for 87 Octane please let us know. That will be the day I click buy. Where I live it is 22 cents a litre more for Premium. I am very happy putting in regular on a daily basis.

Yes turbo. But Audi's aren't turbo anymore they're supercharged.

It was easy, i'd go to my tuner, give him $30, go to audi for service, go back to tuner and get it installed. I didn't mind paying the extra money for the tune. That cart was fun as shit.

    they only had 1 supercharged engine in 2017, the 3.0T in the S4, S5, A6, A7 & A8.

the new S4 & S5 moved to a turbo. theyre getting away from the SCs.

Last I looked at Apr for a 2014 they couldn't get that much without the pulley.
Besides I had bad experience with Apr in the past for VW. Unitronic and giac are a bit better for power and reliability

Yes this tune drives and performs smoothly, but it does perform different, as well. Rather than a flat feeling bottom end and ramp in power, it's more progressive. There should not be any probability problems whatsoever.

I did not clean the maf, I checked the intake and filter which looked fine, didn't seem necessary at that point.

Turbo car tuning is a whole new realm, 100,150,200hp is not out of the realm of possibility. On the 3.0T Infiniti we bump it from 300 (electronically limited) to 450+ and 500+ ft lbs from 300ft lbs.

There's a thread out there about MAFs being nasty from the factory.

Oh I stand corrected then. Apologies.
Last I looked at them was the 14s but then decided on the taco vs s4. Haven't looked at the 17s. But if they're back to turbo then ok I can believe the 100hp

But those tunes kill the turbos. I'm speaking from experience here lol. The Borg Warner aren't that strong at high boost

You say it's running out of air at higher rpms. I wonder if a CAI would help with that?

In my opinion an intake will result in negligible real world / consistent gains. OEM intakes are very well designed these days.

I suspect all the restriction is in the exhaust, like every other 2GR

Curious as well. I'll buy an intake right now.

EDIT: op already responded, buying exhaust instead.

I will be dropping the two rear cats and replacing the y pipe with the URD Spec U. We will see if that will free up some flow.
