Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Drivers installed? If so sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling helps, or swap USB ports, or some have even had best luck using a usb splitter

 

Like @bshammer0 said, I uninstalled & reinstalled the Guardant drivers and that cleared my issue up. Also, make sure anti-virus programs are disabled & Windows firewall is off.

 

Tried, uninstalling/reinstalling and killed all anti-virus and firewalls, still nothing. Just purchased a splitter to see if that'll work. Matt is supposed to be sending me another dongle as I've gone through all the troubleshooting tips with him already, but he hasn't responded to my email in about 2 weeks.

 

I'm running 1.03 TT...

Does windows even recognize a USB is connected? Are you certain your USB port works? Which version of Windows are you running?

 

I recently purchased a 2018 V6 with AT and am very interested in this mod. Any idea when a compatible kit will be back in stock?

 

This. Need more information other than what you have posted.

1. laptop model?
2. version of windows?

a. virtualized?​

3. does device manager detect dongle?

a. does device manager detect usb drive (any will do)?​

4. connected to usb port or hub?​

Answering these questions will help narrow down if it is hardware related or not.

What's the best gas mileage people are getting?

 

My mpg didn't really change after installing the tune. It stays around high 18 and low 19 mpg. My daily commute consists of mostly stop and go driving.

 

I’m averaging 20.7. That’s with larger than stock tires and 4wd.

 

Today I decided to join the ranks finally. Order #2403.

 

Well, that's at least 3 of the 11 Matt said he had left, ordered today alone.

 

I've seen maybe a handful of videos. A larger sample size is always more convincing I was impressed with how smooth it went through the gears... Sad it's come to this with these trucks...thankful theres something to remedy its poor behavior!

 

Does Mat @OVTune respond to you fairly quickly? I had bought my kit back in November. My dongle doesn't work and he said he'd send me a new one that was activated. I tried emailing him and haven't gotten any response since December. I have been VERY patient so I'm curious.

He asked me for my mailing address on November 31, 2017 and I haven't seen or heard anything since. This is becoming very concerning.
