Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

@OVTune I know we probably shouldn’t put a permanent decal on our trucks for dealership/warranty purposes but is there any way to make a magnetic decal of the OV? With all that you have done to the Tacoma, I’m sure most of us would proudly display it. Just an idea

I'd rock an OVTune sticker.. as we all know stickers add HP

 

I need a sticker that add TQ

 

Maybe an OVTune twin turbo sticker will do the trick

 

Ide rock a decal provided it looks good. We should have some user put somthing together and do a vote then get OV’s stamp of approval. Just a thought ;0

I think @OVTune has some stickers already out there. I saw some decals I thought on some of the cars he’s tuned.

 

Anyone in South Florida (Palm Beach County) that can help me install my tune ? I dont have a PC, only Apple.

Somewhere in this mess of a thread people have done it with a Mac. If worst comes to worst you can also sideload windows on your Mac.

 

I got through it with an Apple... I had to update the operating system on the Apple and decided on buying a Windows 10 license. I used Bootcamp to partition the computer and then followed the directions like normal from there. It took a few attempts, but I did it. PM me if you’d like... I’m no expert, but I’ll help where I can

I know there’s a way to get Windows on your Mac for free instead of buying the license cuz at least one of the guys on here did it. I think he said it took some tweaking, but it was above my pay grade.

 

Boot camp. This is what I'm doing.

 

Where in PBC?

 

Open Bootcamp on your Mac (applications/utilities). It will walk you through the steps, and requirements, and the Bootcamp Assistant will give you a link where you can download a Windows image free of charge.

I was messing around with it this morning.

 

After I boot camped my mac, I inserted some USB drives and each time it read them perfectly. As long as it reads the usb, when you go to the identification step before reading the ecu, it should work fine.

 

Yep, boot camp should work perfectly.

 

Been running boot camp with no issues here as well.

@OVTune - How will these changes to the torque converter locking impact towing, especially at full towing weight?

 

I run my Mining rig on an unpaid version of windows10, it was really easy, when it asks you if you have a license code you say NO.
Seriously. Theres just a watermark in the corner of the desktop that says you need to buy one.
Win10 is basically free.
